I am so glad only regional pilots are dumb enough to land with the parking brake on. Prater is such a hero. The majors definitely have to take back all the flying, so things like this don't happen anymore.

It's really smart to continue to promote the proliferation of 30k-60k a year jobs when there could be more 100k plus a year jobs.

That's a great tactic. Keep it up.

Lucky for you, none of the dumb stuff that we've done at our own airline has made the news. Delta's not the only airline to land on a taxiway in ATL.

Knock-on-wood, throw salt over your shoulder, etc. :erm:

I'm not sure how easily the parking brake can or cannot be engaged on an Airbus 320. If I recall from jumpseating on a few, there's just this little three pointed knobby thing you twist. I don't know if if requires the pedals to be depressed.

ASA had one land w/ pkg brake on, a CP too
and a taxiway landin too, at least one that i've heard of

It happened at Pan Am Express in the 1980' when they tried to transfer hydraulic from one side to the other,...then forgot to release the brake.....all four wheels and tires had to be replaced :0

Add Coex (XJT for you youngsters) in 2001 @ EWR to the list. Funny things happen when you are trying to "balance hydraulic fluid"...

Eagle in San Juan-ATR

Lesson...find something else to fiddle with in flight.

I know what someone is going to say, and the answer is no not that either.

Bottom line - it happens NO MATTER WHO you fly for. Pilots screw up.

The very fact that the poster - for some reason - cares to differentiate between what kind of aircraft one is flying when one screws up clearly indicates a certain level of insecurity.
