Ya, If they call you for an interview and you actually show up, you're hired.

Pretty much sums it up! Fill out another application apon arrival to HQ, get asked a couple of back ground questions by HR, sit and talk with fleet manager(very nice guy), he takes you to lunch and then you come back and fly the standard profile(T/O, RMI tracking, holding, ILS to landing) on a computer based DC-9 panel.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that you actually had to be breathing too!

Looks like you didn't take the job with your MD11 experience (either World or Gemini instead). Did they offer a choice of either the DC10 or the 757 or just one choice? What are the pilot domiciles?

dont forget that you have to buy your own ticket to the interview. its a home based operation.

Yes, you have to get there on your own, but they do give you a hotel room. No choice, but back then they were only hiring on the 10. Don't know if that has changed.

2 leased 757's going back to their owners so I'm 99.9% sure THEY are hiring for the dc-10. Resignations O'plenty! Hope you like Ireland. Best O' luck to ya!

You're not actually thinking about trying to go there are you? I would hazard a guess that you are making about double what an Omni captain makes if you're flying the Global Ex.

That's right. We're home based, aren't we? I spent so much time drinking diet cokes at B-52's while sitting perpetual reserve that I almost forget that bit of information. Probably would be there right now if they hadn't closed up! :)
