Oh boy...anyone else hear about the possible CR7 flying at IAD?
Ran into SH earlier, had a few questions for him about the DTW prelim, and then we got talking about the new bases, etc. Apparently UAL is in a crunch for more exPlus config'd CR7s in an effort to offer the service on more of their regional routes. He said we're in early talks with them and there is a VERY good possibility of adding CR7s to the IAD base by the end of the year....wasn't sure if this would come from ATL flying, (with DAL shifting so much to DTW and pushing away from ATL) or if new planes would come on board, possibly a mixture of both. I guess it's in the ballpark of 6-8 planes, supposedly we'll hear something about it in the next few months.
I wonder what that will do to all the guys moving to DTW? My guess is the IAD CR7 would go senior to the DTW CR7, but the CRJ2 remain junior to both.
I'm liking this possible growth!
