I pretty sure the CHQ pilots would all love to stay in STL and do the easy, commutable, high time AA Connnection trips that base has enjoyed for nearly a decade. Instead, they're gonna commute to a lousy schedule with 6-leg days and most likely a contractual min days off. This sucks for all parties involved, of course excluding management.

Try 7-8 legs, 12 day off for senior pilots, working all weekends, combined with a few deah-heads.

Or you can be furloughed while American, who actually OWNS the routes, gives it to the airline they actually own (Eagle) and who has the airframes to handle it.
