might have to bring a west crew in to cover the trip if needed.[/quo\
good idea. That will help the furloughed pilots get their jobs back.

Looks like there are no pilots avail on reserve on the Airbus. Good thing the weather is ok. Scheduleing keeps callng looking for pilots who want to work. Way to go with all the furloughs.

We were discussing the union supplied health care plans and April was mentioned as the month were they might be able to get an idea as to how many folks are going to take them up on the medical coverage. When they know the total number they will be better able to detemine the percentage that they can afford to pay for.
Only one reserve for 12/15/08 for the E190 as well although there is a rumor flying around CLT that some folks have received a letter rescinding there furlough notice. I have my 02/04/09 out the door date and no such letter in my mailbox so take it for what it is worth. A rumor.
His honey flies there. i think he's a Delta pilot if you can believe it.

Ahh that refreshed my memory from the ALPA National Board.
Just a thought to those inclined to sick out your last month or two. Several years (2003 +/-) ago I visited a base C/P who recounted how he was contacted by a prospective employer of a recently furloughed Airways guy. The prospective pilot had a less than stellar dependability record. I don't think he got the job.
Do what ya want.
Almost 300. No one on reserve in PHL. Looks like SEA might cancel. Lack of crews.

Unfortunately DP doesn't run an airline... He runs a stock price and when gas prices where font page news the Wall Street buffoons loved to hear the word 'reduction' regardless if it would cause more harm than good
MCDU said:Many many open trips for the 22. No pilots are on reserve. Do not answer the phone.

I think it would be a huge mistake to shrink the West. I wish that the West prospers and that you never have to experience what the East has. We are half the size we were 5 years ago.
I really feel bad for Midwest Express Pilots. I see parallels with USAIR back in 2004. Outsourcing, loss of pay, loss of jobs.
