It seems CastofThousands may actually be B.O. Just read some of his previous post's.....

Would he have to give credit to himself? Should he have to sign his name to his posting's...? Afterall this board is anonymous, right...?
 
The "author" is a "country boy" who was born, raised, and resides in Park City, UT.

He's not looking for credit, he's looking for solutions and to advace professional-pilot-interests.

What does this all mean for somebody who wants to work at NetJets? Should people be worried about coming to work there or is this better in the long term for a potential future NetJetter?
 
In case any of you couldn't tell, I don't visit/post here very often....so I no idea that "the two" were "one and the same". Ok, carry on! :)
 
Goulet, if you are interested then by all means send in an application (I'm making the ASSumption that you don't work here and your question wasn't rhetorical). While change like this is enough to make many people uneasy, the groundwork for the potential merger appears to make the process proceed about as smoothly as can be expected. In the long term, the benefits of having a single carrier with one group of unified pilots, including future flying opportunities, job security, and unity are immeasurable.
 
NJI pilots please read!!!!

To the NJI pilots that may be concerned about the affects of IBB passing and the single carrier issue. Here are a few facts that can and should be spread immediately while waiting for the rest of the information to filter down:

1) Your job will NOT be lost; in fact I just slid 344 numbers back to accommodate some of you on the virtual seniority list!

2) You WILL be pay protected; however, there is good reason to believe that most of you will see a bit of a pay raise after coming under the new agreement.

3) You will NOT have to move to a new base; you’ll be grandfathered in where you currently base out of.

4) You will NOT be forced out of your current aircraft/seat position.

These FACTS from the new IBB agreement and LOA should help alleviate some concerns while waiting for the rest of the information. I’d also like to say that I’m looking forward to a long productive career moving forward as a single streamlined company!

Sorry, I just saw it on the union board last night. I didn't mean to tease anyone. I was sure the union guys would follow with details. I guess I figured NJI guys would be told the same time we were. I now see I was wrong. Sorry.

I also hope that this is a good thing for everyone. I hope NJI guys and gals look forward to this as much as I do. Hopefully, it will improve everyones QOL. I am a naive optimist, and it gets me in trouble sometimes. I hope there will be nothing but handshakes and smiles around the FBOs today.

x402 I am more thankful and appreciative of my position at NJA than I think anyone else could be. I am new, but also experienced. Just because you don't know someone, doesn't mean they're trying to be a jerk. I do get preachy and I apologize if I offend you. That is not my intent.

Nice post, CD!! When you have as many reasons to be optimistic as the NJ pilots have ...I think of it as simply showing good judgment. ;) By all means, let there be handshakes and smiles all around. :) A good attitude will carry the entire group forward into a secure and prosperous future for all.

If you folks integrate them with all of the above, you will be the first pilot group in history to be fair in a merger. I loved you for providing a haven for CMR refugees, now I love you all over again! Good job!:beer:

Trust me when I say that I am 100% "on the team". Up until last night I had not been to this board in a very long time....so when I initially read the post it "seemed" to be something that it wasn't. I definitely wasn't looking to "out" anybody. It's funny because when I read the message I said to myself, "There's only ONE MAN on this planet that talks like that!"

In short, I had my head up my a$$! Chalk it up to a rookie mistake...:)
 
NJApilot, your sincerity is obvious. I'm glad that you have rejoined the board. Just in case you missed my post in the thread started by Puck, I am repeating part of it here to you-- personally. Yes, I was talking about you behind your back...;)

Others pilots who made mistakes on this board today corrected the errors and apologized for any offense they may have caused. It is my opinion that Captain Dad and NJApilot did the right thing and are to be admired for their class act and the example they set.

OK, I am not understanding again.....if LOA section 27.1(A) 7 & 7 Day Base Wage Tables: Captain is $87.5k and FO is $65k. NJI only flies 7 & 7, but their pay scales of 68k to 72k FO starting and first yr Cap at 110k, didn't you just give up the farm????? What am I missing? Isn't XO jet starting folks at about 90k to 92k for a Cit X?? Who is this a good deal for ? Cause it looks to an untrained mind that RTS just got a bunch of less expensive GIV drivers...

It is called seniority my friend! Tell me how many first year guys will be first officers on the G-IV, let alone captains? I see your point and it is valid, but I believe the bigger picture is a much better package for both sides!

Confused-Again

Its been awhile and I try to listen more than I speak here.

I feel that this isn't over till all the "fat lady's" are singing together. We have no say-so we go were we are told and wear what we are told...we are getting new ties!!

So I have a question for someone (Griz?) that knows this stuff.

Did the airplane class pay schedule go away in this new agreement? Looks like it did.

If this is the case and the quote runs rampant through this board that it is "more pay".....then:

If we are merged and the new schedule (pay) is less than the classIV (which we don't make) ....how is that more?

No sharp stick here, just a question for info. If I want to get yelled at I have other sources.

As an interim response for you, TCA, there is a pay-protection clause in the LOA with regards to NJI pilots. You won't get a paycut as a result of the merger.

The payscales on the NJA side will basically be made into one scale for PIC's. The exception is that PIC's on aircraft with a MTOW of greater than 40,000 lbs. will have a payscale for years 15-17. SIC's have separate payscales for aircraft below and over the 40,000-lb MTOW mark.

Thats what I keep hearing. Is there a page number for that reference?

Does pay protection mean that the current pay level is frozen till it meats the current proposed scale?
