Well I can't wait to be in an union. I can't even keep up on that other thread on who is stealing from who.

I was thinking the same thing. What a mess. At least with NJASAP there will be only one union supporting one pilot group.

If that whole sordid story is true, now maybe a few more people understand the reservations many NJI folks had about joining the Teamsters. There had to be some complicity on the part of IBT to try and make that deal happen.

An integration of the NJI pilots into NJASAP will be a much easier sell than IBT would have been.....but, of course, we know that was the plan ;)

Gutshotdraw,

Can we still have the whine party ... sorry Freudian slip ... wine party nonetheless?! ;) :D

And, Savannah would be so much nicer then CMH for any kind of party!

I go to a whine party two weeks a month...in the cockpit :D

As for a wine party, I never need much of an excuse for one of those. And you're right: SAV mo betta than CMH for a party.

The Teamsters are crooks, Now there is a newsflash!! Of course that whole mess going on in that other tread is not making either of them look good. How much are dues anyway?

RTRHD, the unethical, regrettable event (Teamsters reneging on their signed agreement with the NJA pilots, the IBT loyal 1108 book-keeper lying about paying the NJ pilots' bills and the IBT's ability to place pilots in Trusteeship/take control of their Local) is a great example of why the NJA pilots did the right thing in voting for independence. NJA (and presumably NJI) pilots are getting the chance to build their own reputation and control their own destiny. They have earned the chance through hard work and the time is right.

NJ pilots have proven that they can be counted on to meet their responsibilities to one another by paying their dues and staying involved; by voting for a more democratic, balanced pay structure over a top-heavy (eat your young) one. They have shown that you can stand up for fairness and respectful treatment while forging a good working relationship with the Company at the same time.

NJASAP is an Association of pilots whose track record under 1108 is one to be proud of--even for the anti-union cynics if they were to be honest and fairly give credit where it is due. Needless to say, the anticipated integration will go much smoother if all of the pilots are open-minded and committed to making it work. Here's to the future and interesting times ahead! NJW

SAV - only 1 of 3 cities in the US where you can walk around the streets with an open container of alcohol! Works for me :) As long as theres no Fosters, I'm in!

OK NJW here's the way it went down. Those guys were on the way to wire me the money less their finders fee. I was starting my own union "NJISAP" we were going to hold elections at Gutshots party in SAV if there was any money left after the party(which is doubtful). OK Now ya know. :pimp:

;)
