NJ 6 month Turndown

The past is the past. It's painful but I would immediately apply to XOJet (www.xojet.com), Flexjet (www.flexjet.com), Avantair (www.avantair.com) and Citationshares (www.citationshares.com) if you are interested in the fractional lifestyle.

Just remember, there are other fish in the sea and if Netjet's TA passes, you can expect other compensation packages to increase (except at Flight Options).

Yes, come over to Flexjet with the rest of the NJA Rejects! I too was told no to a 6 month re-interview, however Derinda told me to update again in another 6 months. Before that happened I got hired at Flexjet. Hopefully it'll work out for you.

Never take "No" for an answer. If you want in badly enough try again in 6 months if not sooner. You never know when your break will happen.

Another NJA Reject at Flex

I feel for you, greygoose. I thought my interview at NJ went well, but I got the same initial and six month reject as well. It was really hard to take. I had put so much into it. But now I've been with Flex for six months and it's going very well. We continue to hire and most of us are optimistic about the company. Call Karen Parr in HR (972)720-2472.

There's no rhyme or reason for why some get hired and some don't. I had three good friends all apply here, and all three got shot down. Just can't figure it out.

The good news is that there are actually a number of good jobs to choose from. On Your Six is right -- hit 'em all. I've heard good things about all the fracs (except Options, unfortunately). One of them will be a good fit for you; keep at it!

Keep a positive attitude and it will all work out fine in the end. I've had several friends of mine interview here at NJA and get turned down for no apparent reason (all of them were "solid" candidates - lots of flight time, good pilots, good personality, multiple internal recs, etc). Sometimes it just doesn't make sense.

Keep the positive attitude and something will pan out.

Citation Shares is the next best step, IMO, followed by Flex and/or XO Jet. Some of the stuff I'm reading about XO is impressive to say the least. Time will tell on that, though.

If you really want NJ, don't give up. Keep applying...like many jobs, if they see that you have interviewed and keep coming back, they know that you must really want to be there. Good luck!
