Nicolau is now the Official usapa Sen proposal !!

Mike Cleary came to the PHX usapa meeting on Aug. 26th. When asked whether usapa was going to remove their DOH seniority proposal to be in compliance with the Judges Injunction, Mike Cleary stated that the Company has been notified that the Nicolau list is now the official usapa proposal.

When did that happen ???? Were they going to tell anyone on their own??

Also discussed was the shiny new Communications Policy which evidently has failed to pass on this new development to the membership.

All East and West pilots can see the actual video now. It is a very large file and will be broken up and put on Youtube soon, so everyone else that wants to can see it.


This is not a crewroom/crew van rumor and should not be confused with the internet trash talking that Mr cleary laments about. It comes directly from him !!!!

I doubt it. The east pilots can only jack everyone around so long, despite what they say. The case that had no merit was not even supposed to be anywhere near a trial now. Look at all their missteps and screwups thus far, they can't even handle the pilots of a little dirt bag airline from the desert without getting their asses handed to them.

As long as the east pilots are trying to hose the west, I'd sure as hell rather have usapa than alpa. The east pilots were to arrogant and to impatient to realize that, ironically enough, they had a better shot at accomplishing their goals with alpa on the property. I don't EVER want that lousy outfit(alpa) on the property again. Prater and his east sympathizing cronies on the board can shove it.

No West pilots are happy with what has transpired. That said, If you are insinuating that East pilots would be anything but Professional when the time comes, I think you are very wrong.

I am sorry to say it and I don't have a dog in the fight but I think the traveling public deserves something better than USAIR period. It seems to me every airline that comes into contact through merger is screwed over in one way or another. R.I.P Peidmont.

How did Nicolau have anything to do with an 18 year guy being at the bottom of the AAA list and a 17 year guy on Furlough. Help me understand how Nicolau created any of this ?????

Wouldn't you say that the "Disparity" AAA had with all other Airlines was reflective of the lack of career progresssion at AAA.

Almost every other Airline

The JUNIOR man had around 1yr or less


That you think AWA pilots should make up for this "insane disparity" in career progression (digression in this case) is in itself "INSANE"

I call BS on the FAA comment. The only thing they care about is being safe and following SOPs. I can guarantee you that if the East pilots start acting like babies while having to fly with AWA pilots the FAA will come down on them like rain. We are going to fly together and it will happen soon. You're going to have 3 choices:

1: Be professional and deal with it, or

2: Don't be professional and either get fired or have action taken against you by the FAA.

3: Quit

If you think the FAA sympathizes with you you are very mistaken.

WOW. Celebrating the 4th anniversary of the "merger" with US Air, and BC has is all figured out. His crystal ball (recently overhauled & MEL's cleared) has determined that east & west will never share a cockpit AND that forthcoming events will render all of this moot.

Further, without reading the ALPA merger POLICY, the arbitration transcripts, or the entire nicolau award he has declared GN insane & stupid (well, at least he didn't use senile).
