Events like this put lifes little "issues" in perspective!!! Prayers to the families and those of you out there still "flying the line" or instructing, cargo and military... be safe!!! Fortunately these things do not happen very often to a very close community, so support each other and again be safe!!!!

Prayer for the crew....

My prayers go out the famlies and friends of the crew and hope that some how they may overcome this tragic moment in their lives. I would also like to say a prayer for those in the airline and flying community; for the continued safe landings of all and to never forget the fallen.
God bless

Justino

I just got off the phone with my buddy, and he has flown with Captain Rhodes many times and said he was the best...the best Captain, the best personality, a great guy to be around and one hell of a stick and rudder.

He didn't know the FO, but asked for prayers for all the Pinnacle folks.

Stay safe.

Which regional did Capt. Rhoades fly with before going to Pinnacle? Anyone know?

All of us at Xjet are so saddened to hear the news. There may be times that we all disagree around here, but in times like these we stand together with our colleagues at Pinnacle.

Please let us know how we can help their loved-ones.

.....

A truely painful loss today. My prayers, thoughts, and sympathies go out to the captain, FO, and their families.

-aspire

I would also appreciate any info. on how we can help.

Mr. Rhodes was an instructor at Riddle, then went to TSA, from there got hired as an off the street CA for the 1900 with Gulfstream, then just over a year ago he was hired by 9E. The last time I talked to him was Dec of 03.

Talked to someone. Upon departure, the previous crew experienced a master warning (didn't catch what for) and they aborted the TO. Upon reaching the gate, MX informed them that they would be taking quite a long delay. As this crew needed to finish in DTW and they were about to time out, they were told to DH to DTW. Thats when the next crew was called in to ferry the flight to MSP.

Take it for what it's worth....

*REVISED* I apologize for alittle too much detail. I'll be more careful....

Our heart and deepest sympathy to Captain Jesse Rhodes and First Officer Richard Peter Cesarz and their families.

Fair Winds,

Retired RJ Comair Captain

let's be VERY careful with the above--i hope workinstiff will edit it to "i heard from SOMEONE"--so that parties are not identifiable.

today has been bad enough--please let's not have anyone get fired too.

Please pass this on for me if you can.

If anyone knows the family's of the pilots and they need help in anyway. I would be glad to answer any questions they might have. I just went through this same thing last year with my brother F/O in the Colgan crash. My heart goes out to the family's of these two guys. Bob Dean......... [email protected]

The news here in St. Louis said they aborted a t/o. Then had an engine flame out when they decided to divert to Jeff City, then a second flame out. So sad... I cannot believe both engines flamed out. That is nuts! God bless these guys, hopefully the cause will be found so it does not take any of us down with it.

Matt

Please pass this on for me.

I made a quick reply to this thread but, Dont know where it posted

How much time / experience did the FO have? I see the Captain had 6000+ hours but I didn't see them list how much the FO had.

Doesn't matter. These guys gave their all and did their best. Peace be with them and their families.

To the family and Friends of the downed Crew. You have my deepist sympathies. Unfortunetly the longer I fly the longer the list of pilots fallen in the line of work. My best to the family of Capt Rhodes and FO Cesarz. As they got to the bar too early may they keep a good seat for as they watch over us and keep us all safe.

God speed to the crew and thier friends and family. I didn't know either of these two guys, but I have a few friends that call themselves flagship so I wish all you fellow flagshippers the best in these hard times.
