The majority of the airline pilots that I know would commute to a higher paying position...they owe it to their family to make more money. I have in the past and would in the future. I would even commute to ANC to be a wide body captain so my kid could go to a good college...wouldn't you? The higher paying jobs are in PHL and CLT and the nic award puts many PHX based pilots on those higher paying jobs.

Are you contradicting yourself? If you signed up for the Kirby Proposal + 8 to 10%, you would get a handsome raise and you wouldn't need to commute to get the bigger paycheck.

Don't you owe it to your family to get an easy raise?

I was wrong. Just read the letter from company lawyer confirming it. Leonidas didn't even know there were SSNs in their Excel files so they weren't accessed. Regardless, looks likes a couple of guys might get in trouble. Since their actions were well-intentioned I hope not.

I was thinking more scope than work rules. Kirby wants much more outsourcing and no minimum utilization rates which effectivley makes a fleet min meaningless. It doesn't matter what the name of the union is. This is a dysfunctional family with a long history of infighting when were ALPA so am I surprised there is infighting with the new union?

There is no such thing as administrative leave (cops and other civil servants get that, not pilots) which should heve been your first clue that this was made up drivel.

Why would the company hire outside lawyers? They already have a number of firms on retainer!

Now go find another boogieman to satisfy yourself!

Today, USAPA released a letter from Cleary to Mr. Parker accusing a West pilot and Leonidas of several violations of federal law. You can read Cleary's letter here. The first sentence of the second paragraph in reads: "Notwithstanding these alarming developments, the Company has determined that neither the individual responsible for the theft nor those who received the stolen property will suffer any consequences." In other words, the company investigated USAPA's claims and determined that no action should be taken. We at Leonidas feel there is nothing else that needs to be said about USAPA's petty and needlessly divisive allegations.

The ALPA Concerned Pilots Committee also sent me a boat load of mailings trying to convince me to vote in their favor. I never opened them either. Google the "ALPA Concerned Pilots Committee" to see what Leonidas will be in a year or two.

I hope Leonidas keeps sending out their mailings... maybe they could adopt a goat as a mascot/emblem.

You must have missed this VERY important point in Johnson's letter:

“..the social security numbers were discovered yesterday for the first time because that information was embedded and hidden in the spreadsheet in a way that was truncated, not labeled and required an unusual excel command for access. Although this is disturbing, the responsible persons at Leonidas have assured us that they did not know this information existed and our preliminary investigation suggests that no one at Leonidas discovered or accessed that information…”

So is USAPA going to sue Sears, Target, JC Penny, JC Whitney, Kroger's, etc. What a bunch of stinkin' crybabys...:bawling:. Hey! Maybe USAPA will fire up the critical incident repsonse phone lines for those that have gotten the pamphlet and are upset.

Here's a thought: Instead of throwing pamphlet 3 on the ground and stomping all over it....why don't you challenge yourself to read the content and TRY to prove any of it is a lie.
