Just to puff Booker up, one of the smartest and best pilots flying pax right now, might wanna think twice about comming down on him for anything he says.

Lies, all lies, but thanks for the support. ;) And regarding your second post, yeah, that's what/who I was thinking, too.

(Hey, give me a call some time, especially if you're in HOU.)

because it isn't necessary...disc works just fine.

Its approved and when used accordingly, its not so obnoxious to your tender little ears and those precious redneck passengers we haul. Throw it into reverse and then into disc and you get full reversing effects from the props without the loudass aftermath.

With these new summer weights, I'm using a touch of reverse on a lot of -300 landings when its full. Speed card advertises 116 or so ref, but the speed bug is saying you're on speed at 130+. I'll take the speed bug....

Havne't flown a 300 into the Head, and have desire to do so. I do know its been done by plenty of people though.

15/1050 is recommended for all 3 types now, unless its not approved for the conditions.

It's not the length of the runway at HHH, its the width. You don't have much room between the tires and the dirt at that place. These guys that freak out about the joint and start screaming max and 35 actually amuse me....

Booker, I just figured out who you are... How's life treat'n ya?

I get a kick out of the guys that stand the throttles up in HHH and hold the brakes like we're some kind of heavy Boeing. Where is it in the manual that we're supposed to do this? Haven't found it yet...

I certainly don't remember what the POH states, but aren't rolling takeoffs actually allowed under an exemption, otherwise they'd have to be standing? I'm not taking a position here, just trying to remember.

Opec: Things have been good. I seriously can't complain, except when I look at my checking account. It was a good move for me, but to each his own, you know. Heck, I probably wouldn't be living in CLT now anyway! If you ever want to shoot the bull, send me a PM and I'll give you my contact info.

Booker, you're right on. There is an exemption that allows rolling takeoffs.

Glad things are working out for you. Things are sure hell for us CLT and PHF/ORF folks these days.

15/1050 makes it a little easier to hit the tail, I think. Personally, I don't like the way it flies at 1050, but that is just me. I've done it, don't see anything wrong with it. Just need to carry more speed to keep the nose down.

I have noticed a lot of ALG guys I fly with love to get the pitch in the -100/-200 up around 10 degrees or so... . Not my cup of tea.

 yeah cause runnin for 5+minutes at max when the wx is not even close to minimums is so much better on your ears and the pax nerves

Nice Video.

Certainly miss the Mighty Dash, and the folks at PDT.

Full-stall Paul ... did a couple of test flights with him, after hours. You never knew what you were in for. As for landing, 15 and 900 makes for a nice quite appoach.;)
