It turns out that the good people of SWA and ATA play very well together, very well indeed.

Everyday that goes by I become more optimistic!

Hmmmm

MDP727,

I'm a little slow here. Please help. Let's say I book a flight from Denver to Oahu on ATA. Will SWA be a part of this trip?

Adios,

CB

Absolutly, just go to the ATA web site. They now list cities that ATA doesn't even have service into (ISP). I checked ISP and they came up with 3 destinations Honolulu being one of them.

It actually has nothing to do with SWA. If you book from DEN-HNL you will be on a single ATA aircraft the whole time. Just about everybody else on the PHX-HNL leg will be a SWA code share pax, though. We are funneling SWA pax from a whole bunch of different cities through PHX to Hawaii (both HNL and OGG). I suspect that this is a way to get aircraft in and out of maintenance, primarily when the 737 starts doing Hawaii stuff.

So far, so good relating to the code share.

Now...what about those rapid rewards tickets? Can we use those for a Phoenix-Honolulu trip, or is there a stipulation not allowing this? Just curious.

In PHX, did ATA move into terminal 4? I saw a 757-300 at C-19 the other day.

I dont think they can fit a 757 into terminal 4 ?

From something a Chief Pilot mentioned, I do believe they will be moving at least some flights into terminal 4 with the code share now going through PHX. Otherwise, baggage sharing would be insane, driving a cart over a mile down to their current gate(s).
