DP made the mistake of keeping the name of USAirways. I say the more change the better. That's the only way to avoid the misconception that one airline is adding people to the list, when in fact it is an entirely new airline comprised of bits from all the involved airlines. When one group feels they are the only legitimate members of the airline, they either feel proud of their generosity that they would welcome "newbies" or they feel entitled to "haze" the smaller group. Neither tactic builds the required unity for success.

Parker needs to come in and strongly lay out what will be expected and what will not be tolerated with respect to behavior among employees and not try to be everyone's (or anyone's) friend. I'm afraid this survey on the tail is just the same mistake he made when he tried to buddy-buddy with the east and they whined about the smile on the PSA jet and the color of the Piedmont one.

Be firm, be consistent and be courageous and even DP can manage to epoxy 3 different cultures into one successful business.

I voted for the new tail. The old one reminds me of 9/11 and 587. The new one makes me think of the huge check I just got.

^^^No

Even though I was no fan of the new US or last AW paint scheme, they did a pretty good job of hiding structural repairs. Metallic silver will look pretty good initially, but after the first few ding repairs it's gonna take on the MAACO vibe.

But if they come up with a Dallas Cowboys theme jet, that's where I draw the line!

The current grey is just like the NWA paint job prior to the merger. IMO, the sharpest paint job in the last decade. AA has very similar grey so it looks sharp, but the tail is loud, but maybe that's the goal.

I agree that the grey color looks good. Nearly everyone else has a white fuselage. If the main color of the aircraft is different, it will help the brand stand out. While I do not like the new tail, the old AA logo just doesn't match the new designs. I voted, reluctantly, to keep the new tail.

I think you're a little bias coming from the NW family:) I'm sad to see the polished aluminum go. It was unique.

Uniform survey out via USAPA accessed thru the union website.

Yes, let's get the word out...."NO" to double breasted jacket and hats. Who am I kidding, USAPA has been deemed insignificant and this survey will go nowhere. Hopefully the APA guys nip the hat/admiral jacket thing in the bud.
