Looks like the hardest working man at the ATN MEC got a seat at the big kids table. Congratulations to him, he will be missed!
There is no doubt he is an incredibly hard worker. He has devoted every hour to ALPA. I say this without sarcasm. I am a little stunned that after seeing the recently TA'd sections you are still supporting him. I respect that. I just don't understand it.
He worked hard to outsource 86 seat jets. He worked very hard to get a job at National. He worked the hardest to manage AirTran pilots expectations to well below Alaska payrates.
He did work hard, however the people that miss him will be a very small minority. AirTran has served its purpose for him.
Oh please....Oh please....Oh please let it be true!!!!!!
I thought the odds of getting a bigger sell out than Prater was slim to none. Then the storm clouds parted, and the executive management gods delivered Lee Moak on a silver platter.
I am giddy. I can't wait to have a pilot that knows how to "work with management." All of you pilots will soon be reaping the rewards of Lee's bargaining prowess. Might I suggest all of you flying a Boeing, Airbus or McDonnell Douglas product procure an RJ manual and start studying up?
The possibilities are endless! Besides "working with us" on RJ's, I'm sure Lee will come around to our way of thinking on a whole host of items like code sharing, cabotage, and taking full advantage of the new 9 hour flying limit.
Step right up folks, the concession stand is open for business!
Found on another board....What's even more interesting than this is that the new 1VP wasn't running for any office when he was elected. It was as if he was simply picked out of a crowd.
Actually, Stratton cut the first deal with Pierce for CAL's vote That's what got Pierce into the race... but I digress. Also for what it's worth I, as well as the majority of this MEC, voted for Scott Stratton of FedEx, the guy is smart, has done a lot for FedEx and refused to make any backdoor deals while the other candidates were running around, and I mean literally running around the room trying to broker back door deals, it was embarrassing and disheartening to say the least.
JM can come back. (the guy who did the C2k contract)
Bye Bye--General Lee
We are in a much better place because of his hard work bringing ALPA here and for MEMRAT. .

And the guy who did LOA 46 (billion dollar a year concession).
