I'm sure that will give them good reason to reconsider this $14B decision. Sounds like the largest act of protest since the Vietnam war.

"...but the pilots aren't wearing the lanyards!"
You asked, I provided a simple succinct response.

Let history show that bad mergers (of employee groups) have cost lots more than any managament proposed "synergies" have ever recouped.

Thats all I'm saying, no hidden agenda.

Hoping for the best, but there's your answer.

Let history show that bad mergers (of employee groups) have cost lots more than any managament proposed "synergies" have ever recouped.

History can be a great teacher: Let history show, Southwest Airlines would get rid of "troubled group". Example: TranStar/Muse. Don't become Air Tran(Star)

The least amount of pilots will be pissed off with a staple. Any other integration will anger a larger number. Simple math.

Heck with the lanyards, this is ATL. Who's wearing the medallions? How many? What kind of necklace?

3 swingin' on 14k here, yo! :D
That's funny! Apparently some other's sense of humor has been compromised by their obsessive need to "solve" our SLI issues here on FI.

Here's an idea . . . . Since you can't seem to get your mind around the fact that the AAI pilots will be integrated fairly, perhaps you should just quit? You'll be happier, and so will we.

You know, one is unhappier, and 6000 will be happier. It's a 'numbers game'.

Hostage to Fortune

Interesting.....

You should type: kicking and screaming your way to a better QOL, more pay and strong stable Company :crying:

Seems like an odd statement?? There is no legal way SWA could use the assets from the AirTran merger and not use it's employee's and they are entitled to be merged in whatever fashion the courts think is fair.

I think it's safe to say the courts would look at this as two very similar operations merging, they really won't take into account how much breast thumping or mudslinging one side or the other can do.

Unfortunately, we are a pretty big byproduct of your protest. You are protesting the AT pilots coming into SWA, so in a way it is directed at us in an indirect way. No way around it. If I'm wrong explain to me why you aren't wearing your lanyard? What message are you trying to send to management?

That is not what we are "protesting" at all. It's a signal to management to be involved in the process so as to not allow full AT gains to the detriment of current SWAPA pilots. SWA management has many ways to make the process fully fair to all involved including positive AND negative actions. They know that a hands-off approach MIGHT not go well and our actions and words to this point is what has educated them.

Again, it's not personal toward Citrus pilots. It's business between SWAPA pilots and SWA management. I hope it all goes well and we have the LEAST number of unhappy pilots posssible, in the end.
