Saw my first "hiired not acquired" bag sticker today.

I understand that sentiment, even though I don't think it helps build cohesiveness between the two pilot groups. Maybe SWA will change their new hire type rating requirement all together after SOC, since a 737 type won't make you a better 717 pilot. I plan on having two tatoo sleeves made, one on each arm. The left arm tat will say "acquired" and the right arm will read "Air Trash". I don't want anyone mistaking me for a real SWA pilot one day...

The bottom of my desk. It maybe worth something one day if we follow the pah of Pan Am or Eastern after this.

A few guys are wearing them. The rest of us are giving them a little heck to wear their badge on their pocket like real pilots! I may wear mine someday...just not yet.

Define "give heck"

Just what is that?

Don't count on it being worth anything. I have a box full of Eastern Air Lines silverware I bought on Ebay for next to nothing. They ain't worth much, but they're great for cocktail parties. ;)

"Dude, are you with us or against us?!"

"Dude, you're an FO...what's wrong with you?!"

"Dude, you're a lance...don't you understand what's happening here?!"

"You really should wear your badge on your pocket like the rest of us."

"Where's your SNAPA pin?"

my favorite...

"Where'd you get that cool laniard? How do I get one?"

Saw my first SWA Captain wearing one in L.A. a couple weeks ago and took a moment to thank him for his open attitude about the whole process since none of us have any real say in the matter, much less any control over it.

On the whole, and with few exceptions, on my weekly commute on SWA and just in airports in general, your pilots have been very warm and cordial, and it's greatly appreciated. Ya'll have a good weekend out there.
