Without a doubt the greatest pilot invention ever!
Amen.

And I am going to plug my favorite company. www.Protie.com. They convert any tie. The cost is like $12-$14 and that includes shipping back to you. I love them.
Funny thing is it takes me 10 minutes now to actually tie a real tie.

While we're on the subject, what color is the NJA uniform tie? I've only seen the yellow with polka dots. And will I get one of those cool NetJets leather jackets in INDOC?

Yeah, zipper ties are awesome, especially for those of us with large adams apples who need to loosen the choke hold above 10,000 feet.

If you want to hedge your bet, wear the tie on the first evening. If you notice that no one else is wearing a tie, then remove it and put it into a jacket pocket. Wearing a suit without a tie would fit into a "business casual" atmosphere, I believe.

I wouldn't do that. It may not matter anymore, but in days of old the interviewers at lots of companies would act "relaxed" by removing their jackets and/or ties to guage the reaction of a potential candidate. Those that showed respect and kept theirs on till asked to remove them were hired. Kind of a mind game. When I interviewed in 2000, there were three company folks. Two conducted the interview and one floated around the group of candidates awaiting their turn at the interview or sim. No doubt to gain insight into personalities. Weed out the complainers or other undesirables. Just my two cents.

Hey Fozzy,
Where did you get the NJA zipper tie done at ? There used to be a place in VA but their phones are out of order now and not sure if they are still making them.

I've read the email many times and nowhere does it mention dress code for either day of interviews. I think I'll go with slacks, shirt & tie and blazer. I'll save the suit for day two. Will report back in 72 hrs of the outcome.

Baja.

If it's the same email I got, its the last sentence of the fifth paragraph. Seemed to be pretty form letter-ish so it should be there.

Got an interview for 1-2 Feb. Anybody else on here going to be there?

Still waiting for the email. When did you send in the application, and when did you get the email?

I sent in the email on 30 Nov. I got a general reply email on 6 Dec just letting me know they have my resume. I got the app package on 12 Dec and they received it on 22 Dec. I had a bunch of trips and couldnt get the time to fill out the flight time grid so it took me longer than it should have. I got the email for the interview on 6 Jan. The only date availble was 30 Jan-1 Feb or 1-2 Feb. I chose 1-2 Feb. So all in all I started this on 30 Nov and waited a month for the interview once I was emailed. This is a long process so have patience. The good news is that you have wont have to wait long to find out if you're hired. They call the day after the interview. Hope this helps!
