Thought if the NJA guy went to NJI they would make overtime etc according to the NJA pay scale, not the NJI scale???

The NJA pilots who arrive at NJI will earn the NJA Category 4 pay scale for their base salary. In all other cases, NJI work rules and FOM apply. They will earn overtime based on the NJI policy which is by quarter, recently revised from 49 days to 45 days.

There is no overtime for early day 1 callout, no overtime for duty days over 12 hours, no overtime for much of anything except exceeding 45 duty days within the quarter. NJI crews frequently airline halfway across the globe on day 1 or day 7 exceeding 14 hours of duty. The additional expense that the NJA overtime policy would create at NJI is substantial.

You know, I think that the majority of us would be fine with a modified NJA overtime deal, the quarterly thing is bogus, I know from talking with most of the pilots here that is if we could just get overtime for any days worked past 7 days, and get it in the next pay check like the NJA guys get, that would be way better than our deal, for us, we still get screwed if you have to call in sick even if you are over the 45 days, any sick days just took away your overtime, for the NJA pilots, they get paid for any overtime that is due after each tour, we should get rid of the sick time rule or get an amended NJA overtime deal!!

The other problem with ours is that it causes pilots to fly sick on the road, has happened twice this past 6 months for me, and then I got sick and also flew, so that we would not loose our overtime pay, so this is still not a good fix

Don't count those chickens yet.

45 day deal is proposed and it aint here yet. Or vacation or new Black uniforms.

Also we should get holiday pay like they do, that would make a huge difference as well

But to go from 49 to 45 days is Crap, they can do better than that, and insted of wasting money on new uniforms, why not use the thousands of $$$$$ that they will be wasting to be different from NJA, and use that $$$$$ towards a better overtime system or for holiday pay, I mean, really, do we need to get new uniforms?

So the stories I hear are true about the way they deal with extended days. Hmm... That is too bad. I'm not a fan of waiting to get paid after helping the company out a self induced screw up. Also the OT deal we have at NJA is nice, it adds a little here and a little there to the checks. Just be thankful guys that you don't have the crew food fiaso over there that we have here. Just hope it fails or they may try it out on you. It will fail....

Are for them buying new uniforms so they don't look like us, that is a laughable way to spend money that could go to a million other things. But then again we have the same mangement to a certain extent, total genius.

Meanwhile, TCA, check your Group Leader Star Base Commander message. 45 day overtime, 21 day vacation, and some form of pay raise for Captains is a done deal. Expect some heartburn and some attitude from the FA's in the meantime, not that I blame them.

For our NJA 1108 cousins, let me be the first to say thank you and that I fully recognize the influence NJA's CBA is having on NJI's pay scale.

Now, for some food for thought, consider this. Would RTS bother to give NJI a pay raise if he and his lawyers think they will lose the court fight in 3 years?
