Anybody know which equip bysides gv bbj and f-2000 have a flight attendent(s)? If given a choice which one and why? Anybody have any ideas on which equipment will be available in the next couple of classes. I know it changes by the minute, but any advice would help. Is reserve going junior or is it going to take several months or years to hold 7n7? THanks guys for all your help.

1. F/A'a are on the BBJ and F-2000, F-2000EZ, G-V, G-IV
2. In 2006 NetJets takes new planes: 400XP, 800XP, CE-680, CE-560XL so its possible these will be the planes they hire into. Really it could be anything
3. Reserve from what I hear went 15% across the board. Contract states 10% minimum, so getting 7&7 as a new hire looks good.
4. I would take the first plane offered.

Kman, There is a lot behind your question right now. First there are two companies NJA and NJI. (for the moment or forever depending on who you ask) One has a union (NJA - teamster) and one doesn't. The Gulfstream 4 and 5's are NJI and everyone now has 7n7 with them. Do a search on here for the link to the TA for NJA. It will tell you everything you want to know about working there.

They are two companies, but not for long:). And remember 1/2 of all FO postions at NJI will be NJA guys. So it is possible for straight NJA new hires to get the G4 or G5.

oh and not everyone at nji has 7n7.

Personally i'm looking forward to going back on 7n7.

Guys, how many days do you really work on res? I know it changes month to month but, i would just like an idea, do they work all of the 18 days or does it average out to be something like 3 days on 1 off 4 on?

Diesel, That was one of their Christmas announcements, everyone at NJI will have 7n7.

They can work you any combo for reserve... 5 on 3 off 6 on 3 off 7 on 4 off...

The only hard number of days off or min off between on days is 7 on they gotta give you 4 off min.

xpdriver,

Per the LOU, NJA pilots must have two years with NJA to apply for transfer to NJI whether for CPT slot or F/O slot. If the available slots are not filled completely, then a new hire can be considered for the position.

And yes, Okatie announced 7 and 7 for all those who want it. Some will continue to bid 6 and 5 in order to qualify for the extended day pay which is based on number of days worked per quarter.

And no, 7 and 7 for everyone won't be enough to calm the troops down. The Blackberry e-mail said more "good news" to come and another RTS visit to Okatie after the first of the year. Still not holding my breath......

I don't understand. My impression was everyone was happy. Anything changed?

RTRHD

Quite a few won't be happy when they find out the NJA guy sitting in the right seat next to them is making 30K more than they are as a Captain.

You mean the union pilots make more money?

What has the world become?

I am sure RTS will be matching the pay shortly.

I also have to ask, if you were happy before... what difference does it make now what I get?

I can only speak for myself gunflyer. I am very happy, but I did take a pay cut to come here. I wanted job security work rules, and mainly an off,on schedule. As it has been stated so much, most of your guys are more senior it would be changing the rules after we started. I did not sign up for the A side because of the pay. I am happy for your new pay. I think you are correct about Mr.Santulli raising our pay also. I think if you had two guys in the same cockpit making way different salarys would cause hard feelings.:)

I'll let you know

I just filled out my standing bid sheet. I checked the little boxes that said GIV and GV F.O. (and several others)

I wonder if I should have just bid Cpt?

I understood we were hiring into the GIV initially.

I also bid the Ultra/Excell/X/G200/ and all the HAwkers.

I'm on bypass pay and my "penny" raise isn't changing my financial condition that much.

Gunfyter,

If you are flying the 2000 EX or the X or the BBJ I couldn't care less what you are making. The more, the better and more power to you. But if you bid the GIV CPT and hop into the right seat next to me making WAY more than me, you dang skippy I won't be happy. Should I be?

And by the way, Santulli won't raise the pay unless and until he's convinced there will be an internal IBT organizing effort at NJI. Still not holding my breath.....

I do not think he has a choice. CS matched our pay.

The rules change. I think that is always the danger when working At Will without a union contract.

Leadership. I have to question the Leadership qualities of an individual that has a core of employees... pilots.... Employees that helped build the company. Then makes a business deal with Gulfstream Aerospace that cuts them out of the pattern.

I do not understand this type of leadership. I would have told Gulfstream to take a hike. We will do a deal with Dassault.

Just my opinion.

I am very surprised to hear things like this. For a long time NJ union supporters were really pissed on here on this board. We were told get rid of your union and you will be treated great just like the NJI guys.

But I think you are wrong. He will raise the pay. I think you cannot see it because you are too affected. He has to raise the pay. It is inevitable anyway. RTRHD sees it.

IF,IF,IF AND MAYBE.

If that makes you feel better, keep saying it. We here in reality will continue to refer to what is written and currently being developed as we write/read.

Not happy? Well, I wouldn't be unhappy with the NJA pilot sitting next to you. I'd be unhappy that you have no formal, legal way to represent your pilot group.

Don't hate the player. Hate the game.

"Mine is not to reason why, mine is merely but to fly. Things I can't control, I don't worry about."

These words will keep you sane when the unthinkable happens.

A pay "increase" is a very nebulous thing. Sure, RTS may increase your kiddy by an extra $1.06 per year (or whatever) but the question you have to ask yourself is, "Did he raise my pay as much as he could have?"

Without opposing pressure (industry peer pressure is not enough) RTS will NEVER pay you what you deserve.

I'd be pissed too..

Yeah, I'd be pissed too, however, I wouldn't expect you to hold that against me (I'm not implying you would).

All the NJI people I've met have been good people.

I consider myself a competent pilot (not the best like CS)

(by the way, thanks to the CS crew that let me share their sedan to ORD the other day, great guys),and I wouldn't anticipate having any problems at NJI.

I'll be in the right seat of a IV with four strips on reading The Money Mag....

While you are running around calling the company, putting in a fuel order, ordering a Lav, checking flight plans, I will be in the back eating Almonds and having a Diet coke; Reading The Money Mag....

I'll do that 3 or 4 years then say I'm ready to be PIC on the big bad G-IV.... Of course I'll be pulling down Class 4 pay all that time, just sitting there watching the big bad NJI captains do their thing...

Yep, four stripes on my shoulders means four stripes pay! No matter what seat I sit in.....

That's the CONTRACT!!!!!
