Just a quick question. I was going to start the process and email my cover letter and resume and I saw on their site that they want you to send in the application on the web at the same time. I thought the process was that they mail you the app along with the DMV stuff. Then you send that in.

The last time I really looked at the site was last year. Has this change been in effect for a while?

Thanks for the answers!!

If you have not received an app yet then you need to e-mail and/or send a resume with cover letter to the address on their website. If they like your resume and you meet the requirements then they will send you an app packet with all the DMV and FAA material. Once you send the app in then they will review your stuff and determine if you get an interview. I hope this helps and be prepared for a long process.

That's what I thought, but on the website it says this:

Pilots may apply for employment with NetJets by submitting a resume along with a cover letter via email or regular mail.

If you are submitting an application for NetJets Aviation, Inc. (Citation, Hawker, Gulfstream 200, Falcon, Boeing aircraft) please also complete the NetJets Aviation, Inc. Employment Application and include it with your resume and cover letter.

For Citation, Hawker, Gulfstream 200, Falcon, Boeing aircraft mail to:
NetJets Aviation, Inc.
Attn: Pilot Recruitment
4111 Bridgeway Avenue
Columbus, OH 43219-1882
[email protected]

It says to include the application with resume and cover letter. Is this new or has it been up there the whole time? Am I misunderstanding something? Thanks for the quick reply

Whoa, that's definitely new! When I e-mailed my resume in early 2006, they sent a paper application in response to it. Looks like they're now getting it out of the way electronically, which is probably a good thing.

Wow is right! They are at least getting closer to an online app. No doubt the workload has climbed over the past few months.

New to me as well and I just had my application accepted two weeks ago. They sent me the paper app the first week of Nov. The times they are a changin'.

I believe they are saying you have to send in your cover letter and resume WITH the application....again. That is what I did and I recieved the application recieved e-mail over a month ago.

Yes that is what we are saying. I visited the website and the app is still the same except you have to download it print it and fill it out sending the resume, cover letter and app in at the same time.

This must be really new. I sent my resume in last week and received the application two days ago.

Same here. I e-mailed a cover letter with my resume and received a packet in the mail yesterday.

By the way---maybe a dumba$$ question but I'm not exactly building rockets on my days off---do misdemeanors include traffic ticket(s). Of course, not saying that I've actually had any (tickets) or anything. Just for the record of course.

Well, some tickets *could* be considered misdemeanors, such as street racing, DUI, evading police, speeding more than certain amount over the limit, etc... (we had fun that night)

But your basic running a stop sign is just an infraction.

I am dealing with this new application process as well. It is safe to assume that they will send you the DMV items at a later date? Also will this mean you can only send it in via snail mail, or is there a way to attach the application via e-mail. Thanks ?

Another quick question for those of you who recieved the application the old fashioned way. On the cover page of the application where the name goes on the right margin, was that already filled out bfore it was sent to you? If not did you fill it out or leave it blank? If it was filled out was it last name first? Thanks

Quick Question. Once the app to NJ is in how and when will the contact you? Do they send out letters informing you that you application has been received or do you simply get a call if you get the interview???

in the recent past ( few weeks ) they send an " application accepted " email when they get it and like what they see

My understanding is that the initial action is to send your resume and cover letter. Don't confuse this action with applying. If you are invited to apply, they will send you an APPLICATION. It is a booklet. You have the option of printing the application off the website. I did not fill it out online, nor am I sure you can. I am curious to know if anyone has successfully done it this way. After completing the app with additional resume, cover letter, all paperwork signed/notorized/ect., and including DMV record, it's ready to be submitted. After they receive the application and determine that you are someone they are interested in, you will receive an email after about a month to let you know you are in the "Q" for an interview invite.

I think they are moving quicker. I sent my packet in and was notified it was accepted within 6 days and that was over the Thanksgiving holiday. Not sure if I just hit it at a lucky time?

My app packet was received (confirmed through FedEx) on Dec 3rd. Still no word. Is that normal or is one month about the norm for an acceptance email? What kinds of things could hold up the process? Waiting is no fun.

Does any one know at what point in time you can reapply? Think I remember seeing 3 months some where but cant seem to find it.

Just heard of a colleague who was hired. 3 weeks from app to accept email, then 1 month to interview invite, 2 weeks to interview, then hire notification in 5 days. So 2 1/2 months for him!

wow that is FAST! I should get my internal help on it :-)

double post

I just downloaded the app, sent my resume and cover letter today via overnight. I'll let you know what happens. I Figured it might take a step out of the process, but I guess I'll have to do the DMV stuff still. I didn't see that on the online app anywhere? Anyone else do it this way?
