Pay for an FO isn't great but it's comparable to a regional. Scheduled is around 20K or so. Charter maybe a little more, but if you are flying a lot, you can hit bonus mileage which can add up. Captain pay is low 40's to start, but again, you make a little more on the charter side. After 3 months, you can recieve health, dental, 401k...

The company is based in Milwaukee. Charter is based in Denton Tx, outside of Dallas. On Charter you spend most of your time in Denton, YIP, Smyrna or Louisville.

Hightower...whats the pay like? How many hours a month do both sides fly?

Just to offer my 2 cents - I started flying here out of MYR, thats a 45-50 hour/month run. However, scheduled runs vary from 45 hours to upwards of 70, maybe more, it just depends on where you are.

I'm in charter now, every rotation is different, some I fly alot, others I become an official hotel inspector. Once again, it seems that it just depends on where you are if dispatch can book anything for you or not.

First off, Ready2fly, your an idiot, you probably failed our interview process and are bitter now, time to move on buddy.

As for ACC, it is a good company to work for. There are two branches of flying that we do, scheduled and charter. The scheduled runs are for UPS and DHL, and typically fly Mon. thru Fri nights. Check out our website, www.aircar.com for a route map. On the charter side of things, we work a 19 on, 9 off schedule. I work on the charter side and enjoy the variety of flying that I get, but it is a long time to be away from home. Quite a few married pilots because they don't want to relocate their families, and because of the 9 days off in a row. You can typically make more money on charter than on scheduled.

Most of the pilots you meet enjoy the company and are friendly people. We have jumpseat agreements with a lot of airlines including, NWA, US Air, SWA, Midwest, and others. Ground school is usually 4 - 5 weeks. Will probably sit reserve for a little while.

Hope that helps

Never interviewed there and never will. I have higher goals than flying a slow shorts POS.

I was already flying jets by the time I was at your current total time R2F, you better get a jump on your higher goals.

If you want to talk about a slow, POS, that Seminole in your profile definetly fits the bill. Besides, you have no room to talk, what kind of "real world" day-in, day-out flying to do you do? Probably not the kind that we do to make a living.

Cheers...

And thank you so much for all you guys who've PM'd me with information as well, appreciate it all the help and insight you've given.

The offer still stands if anyone else out there wants to put their .02 in....

Guess now anyone that has a disenting view is automatically labled the legendary Rhoid!

OBTW, they did it again! Like I said, unsafe operation.

MYRTLE BEACH, South Carolina, May 19 (WorldACD) - The Myrtle Beach International Airport cut off air traffic for three hours Thursday morning - disrupting nine flights - after a cargo plane blocked the only runway.
> Flights taking off and landing were delayed as a crane and other heavy equipment removed an Air Cargo Carrier plane that had landed on its belly at 7:45 a.m. The landing gear malfunctioned as the plane arrived, but no one was injured.
> The plane was moved to the other side of the airport, where it will sit until the Federal Aviation Administration arrives to investigate.
