Dunno bout that. F9 is unprofitable and head to head with unical and luv in DEN. What does B6 have to gain by that other than a big headache dealing with FAPA? It would greatly increase their domestic route structure, which is severely lacking, but at what cost? Plus it would take some major tweaking b/c of what I said before, F9 is not profitable.

B6 Won't have to deal with FAPA. The F9 pilots are part of the RAH pilot group now. The F9 pilots will not go with the planes. The F9 assests will be sold off, BB will take his millions and run. Thanks to the 7 year fence that the F9 pilots fought so hard for they will all be out of a job for about 6 more years. BB and Co. just spent a couple years haveing the RAH pilot group pay for his F9 purchase. Now he will sell everything and furlough hundreds. Makeing tens of millions in the process. Gotta love the airline industry huh.

Its Frank Lorenzo all over again.

A F9 purchase would allow JB to unload its E190 and get back to a single fleet type over time....plus grow.

So what would they do with the 30 something e190's they have now? Junk 'em? What about the ones F9 has? Seems like a hell of a waste of money.

Doubt that will happen. Lots of lawsuits would come from that. Dont know how he'd get away with that.

Are you kidding? How did he get away with doing it to the Midwest Express pilots?

F9 is done! Put a fork in it... Another one bites the dust. We need a national seniority list now!!! Get a date of hire and transfer your skills to another job.

He screwed them, sure, but he kept the employees, albeit with a massive screwjob.

I just don't buy an asset swipe. No way. Let's say B6 bought F9 tomorrow and dumped all the pilots. What would all those assets do other than sit around and do nothing? Somebody has to fly those busses.

Worst case scenario would be a Mesa/Freedom type deal where B6 would paint the planes, open a DEN B6 base, and transfer flying to the B6 certificate. Don't believe that would happen though, especially with B6 having no union and F9 with the teamsters. There would be a nasty damn battle over the seniority list, which B6 management does not want.

I just think that B6 won't be the buyer in a M&A, they'll be the buyee. AA or WN are the two most likely candidates IMO. I just don't see F9 happening.

Just think also, what was the last flightinfo rumor that came true? They usuallly don't.
