So.....
So Mokulele mainline handles the caravan flights to maui, molokai, and lanai, while contractors handle the mokulele connection flights to lihue and kona? What has this industry come to? Do mokulele pilots have no scope whatsoever? why do people invest their working years in a company that is so flippant with their futures? It will never get better until management one day thinks, "well can't do that because there is no way the pilots will go for that...."
right now, it's anything goes and pilots let their companies subcontract out to the cheapest bidder without recourse. Ditto for Midwest! There are some Midwest pilots showing up for work despite the travesty that takes place. I would have thought that the day after the announcement was made, midwest would have come to a ground stop, but I guess apathy and fear are too strong of emotions.
Currently all Mokulele flights to Maui, Molokai and Lanai and are handled by the company’s charter service on Cessna Grand Caravans, a prop-type plane that seats up to nine passengers.
