AMEN BROTHER. Unfortunately they will survive. Others won't.

Holy 05-15 award......... :smash: Though, "award" for most of these folks is not the best choice of words.

Is it true that that is approximately a January 05' hire date?

N590MA? Why? Why would you want that name??? I mean I could understand 404 Bambi Killer or 366 Ditch B!tch, but why N590MA?

Oh, and good luck future furloughees.

The reduction notice displaces 336 pilots of which 119 are getting involuntarily fuloughed above the ones that have already gone. This reduction effects over 1/3 of all pilots on our seniority list. As a side note NWA pilots are taking a 24% pay reduction right away to keep the judge from deceiding their fate. This alows them to keep working on a deal for a while. I guess we have a little longer to wait to find out what Mesaba's fate is.

Class bid link?

Has anyone been able to open that link on mymesaba? Or is it just that 1/3 of all new postings just does not work( Like SLT )

MyMesaba works just like our SLT...which stands for Severely Limited Thinking. Spandex Jinglepants and the rest do not have ANY plans other than to force a sh!t sandwich down our throat.

MyMesaba has to be THE crappiest website ever. Links don't work, too much popup menu BS. Half the time I log in, it does nothing... just a blank screen. Then I have to close the browser window, and open a new one, then log in again. It doesn't work at all with Safari either.

When it first came out it wouldn't work on a mac period. Even with MSIE the 'pop-up' menus would pop-under the page text making them unusable. Just getting IT to make it work on a mac (by making the text disappear when you use a menu) involved me sending plenty of email to them.

Sorry to hear about all the furloughs, hopefully it will be temporary while NWA gets its act together.

A Mesaba furlough = no more drinking company spiked kool-aid

Its Time for the Beast to come out...

to those furloughed

I just heard that the Mt. Moriah Performing Arts center is looking for a door man...That is if you like the theater?

If you're having trouble opening up documents straight from the flight ops page, click on MORE, then try opening it. That should work.

Is that the place with the purple neon lights around the roof? I'll be the door man there any day.

I thought that was The Landing Strip?

I chose 590ma cuss that was the first saab I ever flew. I figured that turds n number would be appreciated by all who flew it back in the day.

Sorry to see all of our newer people going out on the street. I've flown with several and they all were great people.

-soon to be back in the right seat myself.

590ma

I'm presuming that they still are. A little top gun humor there. Sorry to hear about what's going on over there with you guys. Good luck to all of you fellows over at MSA. Take care.

So what's going to happen if NW decides to keep all of the Avros after people get moved around into other equipment or furloughed?

Here's a question:
We are supposed to have 9 Avro's parked in the sand at MZJ. I pulled up a history of all flight plans departing from anywhere to MZJ and found that only 4 Avro's have flown there. Two of them flew from MSP, 2 from OKC, and all on the 30th or 1st and nothing since. Why haven't we parked all 9 by now or at least most of the 9? I don't want to spread rumors, but I find it odd.

Any thoughts?

Is there some type of urgent need for them to be in the desert right now? Seems if the leases are still intact at the moment it wouldn't be a bad idea to keep a couple laying around for parts instead of trying to keep the mx shop fully stocked for an airplane that might be going away. When they finally get the axe then they can just order what they need. Are any of the 9 still in revenue service?

You can spin things every which way. Your going to drive yourself nuts.

The displacing guys into the right seat of the Avro thing is pretty wacked though. Who knows.
