Hey guys, am I correct with these pay rates, is this what it would be??
First year FO - 20.08
3rd Year Captain for the CRJ - 51.33
3rd year 70 seat captain - 51.03
2nd year fo - 24.00
If this is true, this is well lower than anyone, I am shocked when i see these numbers.

Good luck guys

There are no 6 year CA at Mesaba let alone 3 year CA. Unfortuntately mesaba2425 is correct. I never thought that the current book would have ever been presented as a TA......

I knew it was bad...just not that bad. Even this 15% number I keep hearing your "leader" mention can't be very far off from this steaming pile of @#$@, they are both unacceptable.

They better let you strike...I was looking at the current route map (google Mesaba route map) and a strike or liquidation would really hurt big daddy.

As a former XJ'er who used to be proud of Mesaba, I hope you guys close the doors on this POS SLT. You guys deserve better. ALPA National has to pull its head out of the dark recess that it currently occupies, recognize their past failures, and support you guys like they did the Comair pilots a few years back. Good luck.

I'm beginning to think NWA just want to get rid of Mesaba. You leave, strike whatever and they void the contract for nonperformance and just start over with a new contractor. They are already dropping the Avro and thats is the A/C that makes the real money.Sad really.

Good luck to all of you! As a former XJ'er, I ask you to stand strong; there are plenty of other good jobs out there!

Oh, by the way, if you happen to have a C-550 type and find yourself looking for work, live in or want to live in Vegas or Reno, drop me a PM...

Peace!

Lets see at the end of the day what happens. Will you guys really walk out or bend over. Everyone talks a big game until the game comes.

I think it will come to this...

Mesaba crews will have to quit in mass resignations.

I don't believe for one second this coward of a judge will allow you to strike. So the big question will be: Are enough of you willing to walk off the job permanantly? I imagine the ALPA Webboards are similar to here...loud and proud. Not being at XJ anymore, I can't get a feel for how the entire pilot group feels on this issue. It will take 90% of you to simply quit. Do you feel you have those numbers?

The judge will block the strike, the company will impose. Mesaba pilots will HAVE to quit immediately, not take a week off at the end of the year. The minute that joke of a contract is imposed is the last minute you worked for Mesaba. Anything else, you and the profession lose.

Best luck to all of you.

Posted on the other Mesaba thread...

I'm constantly amazed that the legal system has recently made multiple decisions that state the RLA applies to labor but not to management.

I had a friend walk my resume into Mesaba HR the same day NWA declared Ch. 11. You guys and gals are in a tough spot right now and I couldn't and wouldn't ask you to fall on the sword to 'hold the line'...but I know I simply could not afford to work under that proposal as an FO at any longevity and I don't have children or much debt. Its really easy for somebody to scream NO on an online message board vs. making a vote when your job is on the line, but I can say beyond a shadow of a doubt I would walk away if my compensation & QOL took the hit you stand to take.

I hope you stand strong and united as a group, and that NWA and PCL ALPA will back you up. Good luck...you all will need it.

I am worried they will make the Mesa crowd proud with this one. You know Mgmt is going to get anything they want out of the pilot group. All the senior people they have left live in minni and we all know how people love mini and will do anything to stay there. A 19% paycut sucks for those captains but what are they gona do quit, start commuting, be on reserve, and take a 60% paycut as a FO for a new company....dont think so. I would expect some Capts to leave and possibly a few FOs to quit but the majority will stay upgrade and move on just like Mgmt wants, an extreamly junior pilot group that no one stays at. Im not condoning it just looking into my crystal ball.

This is yet another nail in the regional airline coffin I'm afraid.

This whole situation depends on what kind of BALLS Duane has. A simpathy strike is the only way the mesaba pilots could weather this storm.

Plumbers, electricians, stagehands, probably several other trades as well. They certainly have, at the very least, region-wide payscales, with some upwards adjustments for those areas (like either coast) where COL is ultra-high. There is absolutely no reason, other than, of course, greed, selfishness, and poor-politics why airline pilots can not band together, as well. It is, after all, what unions do.

Hasn't anyone ever looked at Skyway on Airline Pilot Central?
FO pay
1-$19
2-$21 or $25 for DoJet
3-$22 or $26 for DoJet
4-$24 or $27 for DoJet

Funny how I never hear anyone complain about them lowering the bar. By the way, they're hiring.
