100 seat pay at 13% less than 50 seat pay. Sounds like NewCo has found it's new home.

Not a Penny.
I'll bring the matches. Let it burn. It'll be the only heat I can afford this winter.

I also think that every plane I get this week is going to break at an outstation. Imagine that. And the most remarkable thing is, none of the items will be deferrable.

Why is it that the news channels cover storys of criminals stealing from one household, but when NWA and its subsiderary's steal from thousands of homes every year it is not newsworthy?
Someone needs to do a story on what these executives get when we all take concessions and what these current concessions are. Im sure the flying public would love to know that the people responsible for their lives are bitter and angry because people at McDonalds make more than us!!

Just my .02 cents, good luck guys

I think we all new something like this proposal was coming. I actually thought they would be asking for more. This is no surprise to us. We all just need to cool down a little.
I agree that what they have proposed is insane. Insanity is here to stay for awhile and Mesaba management wants it that way. Let the professionals of ALPA review the proposal, but more important the financial information they have received. I am sure that we will never see all the information we have requested, and if that is the case we will not give in to their demands.
This is my 4th airline and I speak from experience. Don't carry this anger into the flight deck. Buckle up and hang on..... there will be many more rumors and scare tactics. Listen to the facts. Don't listen to what they say... watch what they do.

FOs complaining about taking a pay cut?? Well, I'd be willing to be there're a bunch of your Embry Riddle contemporaries out there that would be happy to take your place for a Walmart door-greeter wage.

OK, they have made their first move...no problem. Frankie Says RELAX.

Next we hike up ALPA's skirt to see if this B*t^H has balls.

Do not disappoint.

Hey Joe, I agree and say let alpa tell them to shove it. I believe our MEC will do just that they seem to know where our group sets on this, and they did a good job on the crj bartering. What I'm saying is that I will walk away from this job before I accept any concessions, bargained or imposed.

I appreciate what Joe is saying, but I won't be giving a dime. There is nothing to give. Our contract is average as it is. I hear PCL is hiring, go there and get a raise :)

They can have it. I can make that much flight instructing, and I would be home every night.

YEah, our guys and gals did a great job with the crj negotiations. They are as frustrated as we are, now is the time for unity, FO's, for those of you who want to make a living, express your views about walking away from this career. How would the company like it if over night, 500 Fo's walk off the job, taking in account if we do not strike........hey......i for one, will walk if we take any cuts, who is with me!

Hey, here is a thought.....lets all take a breather from work, the last 7 days of the year! now would that be legal? oh who cares...

Where is ALPA national? why are they not establishing one pay structure, somethig standard......livable, instead we have a race for the bottom, oh thats right...they have thier hands full watching the pensions go the way of the dotto

Well, I don't see how they can legally attack the letter between MAIR and the pilots unless MAIR goes away and becomes Mesaba Holdings or some other name (unless there is succession wording in the aggreement, which I forget if there is or not). As for the 17% accross the board and other reductions? Opening volley. My prediction is for a carrot to be dangled very soon (110 seat pay rates?) and the eventual negotiation to a 3-5% decrease with scope security in place and the pilot group just being thankful its not 17% and with growth and a new ASA with Northwest. I vote strike until not a penny is given as there is not one ounce of evidence showing that WE (labor) are the reason for MAIR Holdings woes.

Oh well. I think we should just all turn in our jerseys like the Notre Dame football team did for Rudy since coach Devine (sorry, Coach Spanjers) wont let underdog Rudy (sorry, underdog pilots) play in the final game. No team, no game, right?

Who remember Twisted Sister?

we've got the right to choose and
there ain't no way we'll lose it
this is our life, this is our song
we'll fight the powers that be just
don't pick our destiny 'cause
you don't know us, you don't belong

oh we're not gonna take it
no, we ain't gonna take it
oh we're not gonna take it anymore

They've got another song titled "Burn in Hell" which may apply as well

BTW, mesaba2425, are one of your tourette syndrome ticks to type meaningless annoyances on aviation bulletin boards? If so, you need treatment, of not, you need a life!

I'm just stating the obvious. You can choose to ignore it if you'd like.

HEY MESABA PILOTS!!!

Read these posts from December of 2005.

NOTHING HAS CHANGED IN THE PAST 10 MONTHS...

Your management is still dealing you the SAME proposal.

Your Union (which originally told you they WILL NOT give you a sub-par contract), has now recently, and openly, OFFERED at 15% cut to the company.

THEY ARE GIVING 15% (your money) TO YOUR MANAGEMENT!

The company is taking you for a ride, and now the union is driving the sled.

NWA CRJ's have been purchased. They will offer them to MESABA. It is up to YOU to decide if YOU want to be the lowest bidder.

Work and be the lowest bidder pilot-or shut the company down and have dignity.

DO NOT GIVE UP THE FIGHT! Others have...YOU should not!

How have we gotten to the point where Management pukes can try and rob employees blind and get away with it with no consequences?

How?.....

Good luck guys!!

EXACTLY.
I thought those numbers sounded familiar.

If........When the company imposes our 19.4 because any paycut will be voted down......and you are overwhelmingly sick and can't concentrate...on your flying.....remember it is your medical and your responsibilty to fly healthy...if you are not healthy that day they are imposed you better not violate the regs. It will come to that. We will have to stand because our union will not take the hit for us. Watch and see.
