Sounds like it could work for a younger pilot with good financial backing.
I recall from ten years ago that we had a number of students in their late twenties and early thirties. Several were Desert Storm vets.350DRIVER said:I believe that quite a few career changers in the mid-30-45 age range (some older from what I have heard) have been filling quite a few of the slots in the training program.
(emphasis added)I don't think it is tailored for the "younger" since the set up is quite strict and you have very little margin to screw anything up if you intend to get the interview....
Graduates of MAPD (who do what they're supposed to do, follow the program, and keep their mouths shut) are guaranteed an interview with Mesa Airlines at 300 hours.boeingav8r said:Does Mesa hire pilots directly, or do they expect you to go to that college and spend lots of money there?
I guess more specifically what I'm asking is this. Does Mesa hire 3000 hour experienced pilots the traditional way....you know, sending in your resume, calling the chief pilot, etc....
are they only interested in hiring the young low time pilots to come dump lots of $$$ in their academy and get a "guaranteed" interview.
