Can just one ALPA cheerleader tell me why so many ALPA members are cheering for a fellow ALPA carrier to go BK? Anyone? PCL? Rez? Something doesn't compute......

Because Mesa is such a sh*t bag operation and has screwed so many pilots over the years because Mesa pilots will fly for free. This allows Mesa to undercut everyone and drive down wages, benefits, etc. I usually wouldn't want to see a carrier go away, but I hope Mesa does. You Mesa boys have screwed way to many people.

you are a true idiot..

you are a true idiot..

Most of the guys there could care less about the industry as long as they get to fly their crappy mel'ed jets. Bottom of the bottom. By the way I just flew a Mesa CRJ9 that smelled like a venice beach public toilet with crack whore F/As to boot.

I'm trying to figure out which hub this would have came from, but its hard to tell from just these details you've listed. Can you be more specific?

Oh, and MESA SUCKS!

so is MESA BK or nothing yet?? is been 3 days..

The original post was based on a faulty inferrence from a fluke after market trade of fewer than 700 shares at $0.12 per share. Its low after market price since then has been $0.331. Nice profit for whoever bought the shares at $0.12.

So it's OK for ALPA members to hope for other ALPA members to lose their jobs? Now once again, can an ALPA cheerleader explain that for me.....How is it that we have created a system where union members hope for their fellow "brothers" to go out of busines....Herndon we have a problem......

Whats takes more training. A flight attendant or a dispatcher? Just curious. Another guy to add to my ignore list.
You are aware that the "MESA SUCKS" thing is an ongoing gag around here, right?

To answer your question...dispatcher. Don't let the quick school to obtain the certificate fool you...it takes a looooong time to really "get it".

Oh, and from what I understand of his reputation in our little world (it's a small one), dispatchguy is one of the best in the business.

I was a flight attendant and then became a dispatcher. You can double ignore me!

Actually what's funny is, I had to take you off my ignore list as you were already on it to read your post.

I get really tired of reading posts about the industry and having to weed through the stupid
"Mesa Sucks" Posts. So one day I went back through about three weeks worth of threads. I found all the posters that had posted "mesa sucks" and nothing else of value, and put them on my ignore list.

The strangest thing happened.
Firstly; I was able to enjoy the thoughtful posting of most people with out the kid stuff. All of a sudden the regional boards read a lot like all the rest of the forums here. What a nice change. This I expected.
What I didn't expect was how nice it was to read other forums and one of the guys I blocked would show up, but of course blocked. But because I blocked him I knew I wasn't missing anything.

I don't understand why the moderators allow people to post some one Else's air line then the word sucks next to it. No where but on this board does this happen. I don't understand why a professional person would post something like that in the first place.

Derk Derrrk Errrr Derrrrrbs......

That's what she said.

MESA SUCKS

Because Joe, at a "real" union, you don't have this type of 'race to the bottom' behavior.

You think you would see this behavior at UAW shops? HA!

ALPA is the perfect type of union for the "ME" generation.

Because pilots are their own worst enemy, shoot themselves in the foot, etc. Its not just ALPA.

Oh please, you're talking about industry wide unity, it doesn't exist. So do you actually shed a tear when you see a fellow ALPA Alaskan pilot out of a job etc? I didn't get a basket of flowers from ALPA members when I was furloughed, it's hard enough to fly the line without getting caught up in union bull********************. I don't think anyone wants a member to lose their job but they won't think twice about replacing them either. It's happening right now.

Crap, I hate to be the one to say this but....I totally agree with every word you posted.

AMEN

Mesa should leave ALPA. I hear the Teamsters are interested in presenting their case to the pilot group.

Ummm, what happened to, "We Are ALPA" that so many union leaders like to say? Pilots are not their own worst enemy, it is called self preservation instinct. The only reason all those UAW guys at GM still have jobs right now is because the government stepped in. Had that not been the case, they would have all effectively negotiated themselves out of jobs.

We are ALPA. People speak of ALPA as if its just the MEC or ALPA national. But the fact is that every dues paying member is ALPA. Every member needs to take ownership because every member owns ALPA. When they blame ALPA for anything, they are in fact blaming themselves.

As for pilots being their worst enemy, the past has proven that time and time again. I don't deny that it doesn't happen in other industries but I could also point to the longshoremen as an example of a union that sticks together.
