Remember the hay days when places got 3 crj 200'a/day. Now they and others are down to one 900 high speed.

BTW Saturdays in Memphis will have a total of 25 total Delta departures.

Why don't you go play in your own sandbox and leave the regional pilots alone? You've moved on to bigger and better things, but you wanna come back to poke the other kids in the eye. It's like the kid that went off to college but so needs to go back and hang out at his old high school because he feels cool now!

We really don't give a fukc what you have to say, and your little barbs aren't clever or funny.

I know, but I just don't get it. You can do what you want, I just think its kinda silly. I wouldn't dare go in the majors board and give my opinion, because it's not my business. No more than I'd now go on the cfi board and tell those boys how it is. I guess you can't shake the regionals out of your blood.

Flyer is probably keeping up on it because he wants us to go under to justify his reason for leaving. There is no other reason to still follow pinnacle airlines after you leave. I will never speak of this place again when I leave

Do not put words in my mouth that were never there. I have never wished ill upon any airline, or on any airline pilot jobs. I don't want any airline today to 'go under' as you put it. How can you accuse me for saying something I never said. I do not need to justify any career move. That is a personal issue, and one's own choice.

I am trying not to think about Pinnacle I hate it so bad but I work here......

Memphis became the new Cinncinatti once Delta bought NWA. Is this really a surprise...or news?

Ummm, Cincinnati didn't become Cincinnati until after Delta bought NWA. How about Cincinnati and Memphis are the new Pittsburghs!

that last post is spot on. How long before some regional makes an announcement that they are getting those 76 seaters from Delta and in the same announcement are opening a JFK and/or LGA base for them? One of the items in the Pinnacle bankruptcy is to open a "new york" base-I am assuming that is not for new planes, but for the 900's that are now based in MEM. Why have a pilot base in a city that you do not have many or any flights out of? Or for that matter, why have a headquarters and training in a city where there are hardly any flights to get your people in and out of? There are many reasons for this bankruptcy-get rid of the United flying-US Airways flying (all for Delta I would think)-lose the downtown MEM headquarters (expensive lease and inconvenient location for operational reasons)-cut pilot pay and work rules-and the most important for Delta is the ability to lose 140+ crj 200 leases.

That's not correct.

The CVG downsizing started in 2005, prior to bankruptcy with the introduction of "Simplifares" and the initial "right sizing" of the hub.

It's been a steady pull down since then.

Cincinnati has been on a steady decline for the last seven years. Reality really started to set in when Comair shut down it's terminal. Memphis on the other hand had international flights up until a year or two ago.

So is Memphis down to 25 flights total or just dci?

Roughly 125/day overall through delta and DCI's. The peak was roughly 300/day under the red and white NWA colors for reference. Total DCI hours in Mem are fluctuating in their normal monthly amounts overall but there are less for 9E and more for ASA (expressjet). 9E is getting more hours up north...

The 25 the OP refers to is total SATURDAY departures. As we all know Saturdays are cut way back system wide but are particularly bad in MEM and CVG.

Also both hubs still have one international flight per day. AMS for MEM and CDG for CVG. We all thought they both would go a long time ago...

Currently about 135 departures/day in CVG except on Saturdays. Down from CVG's peak of 650-700/day!

It took years for me to recall that back in school "Delta" simply meant change. Being that I live in MEM I am bias towards the change, but it is what it is.
