Sorry all but Mcain won Florida, go to the AFL-CIO website and review all of the candadites there. They have the voting records for all that were in the house and senate, as well as their views on labor and unions. McCain is definately the wrong canadate, as well as all of the other republicans. As BAD as I hate to say it, if you are looking for carrer support Hillary would be better than any repub. For what its worth I just re-registerd as a democrat, I can't afford another four years of republican rule. Edwards is my first choice, but he can't win, then I guess Osama, I mean Obama, and then.....ughhhh Bilary.

I never understand the single-issue voter. I mean Clinton's cutbacks of the military in the '90's cost me my Navy flying gig. Since Hillary supposedly was co-President should I also blame her?

Anyway, I wouldn't choose who I support for President based solely on my airline job.

None of the Dems are going to raise your taxes unless you're a UPS or FedEx Captain. Every other air line pilot would fall short of the taxable income levels that the Dems are proposing tax increases for.

are you serious with that? Let's see....A UAL 747 captain is much better off making 342k per year with a generous pension and paying taxes under the Bill Clinton days than he is making the current rate of 180k with the Bush tax cuts. Say what you want but there is no way that airline pilots would have taken it in the shorts so severely post 911 if a dem had been in office for the last 8 years. If your personal creed dictates voting republican then power to you but don't kid yourself into thinking that you wouldn't be better off professionally with Obama, Clinton, Edwards, or Kerry in office. The war on the middle class is real. It is nothing more than a transfer of wealth from the working class to the ruling class.

The only part of the marginal tax rates that they don't want to make permanent is the very top rate. None of us fit into that rate (again, unless you're a Captain at UPS or FedEx). They want to make the rest of the rates permanent, and some of them propose even further reductions for middle class taxpayers.
