You're right. Some marriages are not salvageable. For example, If there is substance abuse, domestic violence, or habitual infidelity, its probably too late. But this isn't rocket science here. Having a good marriage after having problems is not against the laws of physics. As long as that is true, there is always a chance. Maybe it's worth trying to make it work, maybe not. Only you, your spouse, and your God can answer that. Kids certainly plays a big role in whether salvaging your marriage is worth. They are the only innocent ones that will pay the consequences of both of your inabilities to provide them what all kids deserve. Don't fall for the narcissistic mentality that kids will never be happy if either of you are not happy. That doesn't have to be true if both of you are willing to sacrifice for a time being. You fell in love once, it's not an impossibility of it happening again. But marriage is so much more about being in love. Communication is the key.

Its easier said than done but I feel that life isnt solely about doing what makes you happy and that it's about doing what is right. Do what is right and have faith that that will make you happy.

Good luck!

If you work for SKW call the EAP hotline. You can go talk to someone there (non-company and confidential) and its paid for by SKW.. Its a great program thats not used that much.

I live in SLC, and I know a couple of good ones, you can PM me and I'll let you know.

I got divorced about 5 years ago, never been happier, my only regret is I didn't do it sooner!

Exactly.....if you don't have a lot of assets and she works you may not need a lawyer....my divorce no lawyer and no $ spent. My ex came at me about the house and a one time alimony payment...I said take the house it's yours...after she finally figured out we were inverted in it she didn't want it...now I have a bachelor pad, my son and life is good.. No bitchin and moanin about my friends coming over for Monday Night football....and if you need a date...the internet is the answer (no not porn...even though..excuse the pun....it comes in handy..) chicks on dating sites love guys that actually have jobs and all their teeth!!!
