Was thinking there might be a way to trick the system through breakers/power. It's been awhile since I flew it, knew it had something like the 737 lockout.

I haven't flown it, but I'm assuming that it has something like the NG, too. Probably should just leave it at that, though. ;)

How are they unlocked...air/ground sensor??? If you belly land can they be opened?

The cabin pressure differential acts on a flap preventing the locking dogs from being retracted. When the diff is 0 the flap allows the locking mechanism to withdraw the locks. The flap doesn't have to be very large square inch wise to exert a large force.

Just when my mental trauma had me forgetting Mary Schiavo in HD,

The horror!

At least she modified that hairdo over the last month... what a sexy momma!

Les writes a column for one of those flying magazines . That must be highly, highly lucrative. He also has one dope a$s broom mustache.

I used to enjoy reading his Flying columns. Except the time he dissed the MD-11. Some of the things he's said on CNN have been ridiculous.

agreed and i think some others on CNN have said outlandish stuff as well. I believe that CNN preps them to take certain "positions" (and contrarians) to entice the viewers. i mean some of the stuff discussed by experienced guys just don't seem plausible based upon the known facts.

Also - they are likely compensated monetarily for their appearances, no doubt.

Yea articles complaining about how people wouldn't respect his authority as a captain... very informative. His mustache is glorious though, bravo.
