regionals shouldn't fly further than 60 minutes from point to point.
But we can thank ALPA for that as well.
 
ASA used to do ATL/STX 1505 miles. It was blocked at 7:58 and always took 8:15.

SKW used to do KSLC-KPIT on the CRJ9 (1438nm). That was a fun one to figure out on the return flight.

SKW currently operates KORD-CYYC (1200nm) at 3:41 block and KORD-KBOI (1245nm) at 3:37 block.

Pinnacle is doing that route now with the -900. Delta website shows it as 1640 miles.
