TO the runway??? You are an over achiever Freight Dawg... 20 min. out maybe...You have great things ahead in your future.

You have to ask DFW center for a radio check because you haven't heard anything for the past 2 hours.

...if you are the only plane on the scope, in ATL class B, and cancel out so the controller can get a cup of coffee before it gets busy again...(do it 3 out of 5 nights)

And that's because it's either 3 am or you're not sure if avionics really fixed that number two comm!

When you pop up in the middle of the night and ask for a clearance from center for a flt plan you did not file. When center asks for the identifier of your destination, you tell him that you have to look it up, in the mean time you ask, "Could you clear direct with a vector". Not my company but listening to another fr8gh dawg in the middle of the night.

When it's been quiet on frequency for 2 hours, Center didn't give you the handoff, and you switch anyway, 'cause you didn't want to wake the previous controller.

And the next controller just assumes you'll be on his frequency at the right time.

The same with the other five company planes that are behind you.

The first sign that you've had a complete radio failure is the tower's green light while you're on short final. But it is unofficial, they don't open for another ten minutes.

You forget your callsign, make one up, and ATC refuses stating they already have two of the same callsigns on frequency. It's only the morning guy that gives you a hassle about it, though.

Fly SAFE!

Your sun visor serves not only as a sun visor. Positioned correctly, it also becomes a nice weather shield keeping snow, rain, and cold air from hitting you.
