Meanwhile, you have yet again avoided the issue, namely your inability to accurately quote Legacy performance data...
Thats because you haven't given us any, except your own generalizations... I don't fly a WSCofD, so I don't have any manuals for it... But the guys who have come to this thread who HAVE flown it gave us all the details we need to know, about the WSCofD and even some details about the "Incident" of yours (those details, of course, were in PM's)... C'mon, tell the world YOUR story...

Let me remind you how the G350 compares to the Legacy.

A 12 month Dispatch Reliability of 99.85% - Legacy ?
Hidden Data, but if WSCofDdriver says it never breaks, we are all supposed to believe him... He has been SO accurate and forthcoming with all the other data!

Range - Normal Cruise: 3,800 nm @ M 0.80 - Legacy 3220 nm@ M 0.74 / 2950 nm @ M 0.78

Range - High Speed Cruise: 3,100 nm @ M 0.85 - Legacy range at M 0.80 not published
WHOA! DOGGIE!!!! What happened to the mere 150 NM range penalty WSCofDdriver claimed when speeding up from Mach 0.74 to Mach 0.80??? So now we see the REAL numbers, a 270 NM range penalty when speeding up from Mach 0.74 up to only Mach 0.78, this would simply lead one to believe that there would be a significantly large range penalty if speed was increased to Mach 0.80, we all know about Drag Polars, my guess... we would see a range at Mach 0.80 of around 2800 NM (actually probably a tad less, but I'll be generous)... Oh, and WSCofDdriver, here is the stuff from Embraers web site... This even shows it utilizing FL410 and still only getting 3250 NM range (at Mach 0.74) http://www.legacybyembraer.com/english/content/executive/mission.asp

Max. Cruise Speed: M 0.88 - Legacy M 0.80
Max speed is Mach 0.80, and WSCofDdriver is trying to claim he can get almost max range at max speed??? Someone slept through aerodynamics class...

Min. initial Alt: FL410 - Legacy FL370
FL370, right where an RJ should be, out of our way!

GVFlyer said:
Max. Alt: FL450 (Cabin Alt. 5980 ft.) - Legacy FL390 (8100 ft) / FL410 (8800 ft.)
8,800 ft cabin altitude??? Do the masks deploy so the pax don't pass out???

GVFlyer said:
T/O Dist MGTOW: 5,050 - Legacy 5,770
Hey, it's an RJ, oh wait, it's not an RJ, oh wait, it IS an RJ... WSCofDdriver can't make up his mind if it is or isn't like the RJ... But from the long runway numbers, I'd say it is an RJ...

GVFlyer said:
Cabin Dimensions: 40'4"L X 6'2"H X 7'4" W - Legacy 43L (including cockpit) X 5'10" H X 6'11" W
Now, now... Mini-Me needs an airplane too!

GVFlyer said:
Max. Load w/ full fuel: 2,858 lb - Legacy 1,605 lb
Marketing that BIG cabin but not the performance to fill it up and go long range, hhmmm....

GVFlyer said:
Does Legacy have a jet on standby to fly parts to customers who are AOG?
No need, it NEVER breaks, according to WSCofDdriver... And by golly, if it does, you can just walk over to the terminal and pull a part off of one of the RJ's... oh wait, it's not an RJ, oh wait, it IS an RJ...

GVFlyer said:
And by the way, your little apochryphal anecdote about the G550 captain who could not find a lens is absurd - if Gulfstream does not have a part in inventory, they will pull it off an in-production aircraft coming down the production line, put it on the G100 Airborne Product Support airplane and fly it to you.
Not surprising, yet more inaccuracies, hey WSCodDdriver, were/are you a used car salesman on the side???

For those of you tuning in late...

WSCofDdriver = LegacyIIDriver, vraciu, LegacyDriver, Skull-One (yes, the one and famous)

WSCofD = Whistling S-Can of Death = Embraer Legacy (This accurate name given by a 2,000+ hour in type EMB-135/145 Pilot) http://forums.flightinfo.com/showpost.php?p=470096&postcount=54

They're using the FL390 numbers. The numbers for range at FL410 have not been released yet... How many times do I have to say it?

(I don't have to tell the world my story, BTW. It's old news and I am not going to refute bogus allegations and rumors any more. We did that successfully in the arbitration and that's that. Game over. I won. Back pay, clean record, judgment in my favor. Let the rumor mongers run their mouths all they want. They don't know what they're talking about and at any rate, I have moved on.)

GVFlyer, MAX. DIRECT INITIAL ALTITUDE IS FL390 (or FL380 if we're going to count DIRECTION as a factor--and it may be FL400 when the mod comes online, we don't know yet), *NOT* FL370. YOU ARE NOT USING THE PROPER DATA. EITHER GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT OR SHUT UP.

The bulk of the rest of your data is wrong as well so I won't bother refuting you *again*.

FL390, 8 Pax, Bags, FULL FUEL, Field Length of approx. 5,600 (NOT 5,770 as you assert):

This Driver obviously felt otherwise.

Me: What happened?
Him: Taxied us into a pole.
Me: Doesn't look too bad. Should be easy to replace that cover and go.
Him: If we could get one.
Me: You mean Gulfstream doesn't have one?
Him: Of *course* not!

So much for that LEGENDARY warranty.

That's ninth time you've brought that up. Give it a rest already. If Admin could find out why my original login won't work I'd go back to using it. I'm not ashamed to use that userid if it would work, though for some reason you seem to think otherwise.

Looks like more proof that I'm winning the argument when you resort to this kind of attempt at a smear....

Oh, and it should be "infamous" not famous. :)

In that Gulfstream Sales Engineering does not consider the Legacy to be a serious business jet, they have not performed a Competitive Analysis on the Embraer product.

Subsequently, I had to use Conklin & deDecker data. If you believe it to be incorrect you can forward your complaints and provide the necessary corrections to them directly.

Obviously, you can not read... http://www.legacybyembraer.com/english/content/executive/mission.asp Range 3,250 NM, FL 390 stepping to FL410, Mach 0.74, right from the manufacture.

That is a "Mission Profile" analysis using FL390 numbers but showing a climb to FL410. One of the things people always turned their noses at was the FL390 limitation. Hence they are emphasizing the FL410 capability but are not yet releasing any performance data on range for FL410.

My direct contact at Embraer says they are leaving the range UNCHANGED from the FL390 data for the time being.

The airplane is a 3250NM jet at FL390 and .74M (officially).
It is a 3110NM jet at FL390 and .80M (officially).

Both cases with 8 pax and NBAA Reserves.

You have been corrected by others as well on the data but you continue to use it in bad faith. Give it a rest.
