Guys, whatever it ts, it's not enough. I believe a guy on the other thread said it best when comparing how much you flew and how much you made. Whats really important is;

How much time away from home did you guys have to spend to make the check?

When looking at it from the perspective of income vs. TAFB (all time away from base) I earned approximately $33.70/hour for 5th year CRJ captain at PCL.

$91,000(gross)/2700(annual TAFB)=$33.70

2700 hours away from base equals approximately 52 hour work weeks with no vacation. I would bet that 2700 hours away from base is a fairly low number for most "regional" pilots too.

6-7 yr CA West Coast based CRJ

77602$ gross
Flew 875 hrs
TAFB 3,167 hrs
includes 5068$ in per-diem

Wow. Airlinepilotpay must be waaaay wrong or you guys are working some serious hours.

For example:

How does a 5 year pinnacle captain gross 91,000 at (according to airlinepilotpay) $62 per hour?

Ok 2700 TAFB times say $2 per hour per diem (I know that is too high, but anyway) is $5400

91,000-5,400 = $85,600 / $62 = 1381 hours of credit

1381/12 = 115 hours of credit average per month??? Wow.

You must be an instructor or can you pick up open time for time and a half?

open time
holiday pay
daily garuntee/rigs
training pay
deadhead pay
premium pay(over 12hrs duty)

Im sure there are more-

My guess is that he worked his a$$ off for that money. Lots of extra flying on days off, high credit lines.

Either that or he is BS'ing.

What kind of an open time whore do you have to be at PCL to avg 115 hours a month?
