Well I sort of left. I opened a small restaurant franchise and now make enough to fly around in a nice Grumman Tiger for fun.

And just so you can compare.... I pay my manager about $35K a year and he works about 40 hours a week and its a flexable schedule.

How does that compare to your awesome pilot job <smirk>

A 45 ft fishing boat for day charters in Hawaii.
Easy work, Fun work and something I have done since about age 10.

Go back to school and get a degree in something like Meteorlogy, which will be very difficult cause I stink at math, but I've always been a weather nerd.

I'm not a professional pilot, but have been thinking along time about opening up a brewpub. I've been a homebrewer for several years, and have thought of taking the leap. I've done some research on the subject, and looks like about 75% (no hard data, just a guesstimate) of all new brewpub start-ups fail. Seems the key to a brewpub surviving, is first and foremost good food and good menu selection.

Good luck in whatever you decide on!

... keep the $$$ rolling in. It just so happened that an opportunity popped up for me earlier then expected.

Is that what they are calling it over there these days?
