Look to a business jet...look at a 18,300 lb Learjet 35A with 7,000 lbs of thrust...at a weight to thrust ratio of 2.6. Dangerous for an aircraft with an aircraft with such excellent thrust to weight...

Actually avbug.....a L-35 is 17,250 lbs
the L-36 is 18,300 lbs

Actually, the max ramp on the LR35A is 18,500 lbs, and the max takeoff for the LR35A is 18,300 lbs.

Try again.

Damn, Avbug.... Tristar and all the other guys are correct. You are an arrogant ***********************************. Try to do another google search or something, because you are incorrect on you weights of the 35.

Im sure in one of you millions of piloting/firefighting/ems/faa admin/ceo/I never broke an far 135 perfect pilot (which probably explains why u have had 50 jobs).

A 35a is not 18500.

so my friend....YOU try again.

and tristar is correct... your buddy clay is a scab. but hell; he has a nice fbo...

A 35a is not 18500.

The maximum ramp weight for the Learjet 35A is 18,500 lbs.

The maximum certificated takeoff weight for the Learjet 35A is 18,300 lbs.

It's been a couple of years since I last flew a Lear 35A. Accordingly, I elected to pull out the AFM and a Simuflite LR35 manual. They're sitting here with me on the bed as I type this...and most assuredly the weights I quoted are correct.

Ramp weight is not to exceed maximum allowable takeoff weight by more than 250 lbs.

For s/n 35-002 to 35-066 (AAK 76-4 & AAK 80-2), and 35-067 to 35-344 (AAK 80-2), and 35-345 and subsequent (ECR 2234)...the correct number is 18,300 lbs maximum certificated takeoff weight.

While there may be a few LR35's out there restricted to the lower weights, there aren't many, and the lower weights don't represent the maximum available for the type...which one more time is 18,300 lbs, with a max ramp weight of 18,500 lbs.

Thus far you've managed to join tristar as being wholly incorrect. Tristar, however, is a self-professed "numbers" guy. What's your excuse?
