sadly, i have to go to denver tomorrw to train on the sp77 autopilot to fly the cavs old plane. hope to be gone soon.

pace has one 767 on ramp..supppose to get 2 more

hear we got a contract out of miami or is it mijambi?

2 more to come...will they hire off the street and F the 37 guys remains to be seen?

Did we get bought yet? Some people were saying it was supposed to happen on the 18th. Of course no news from the company.

Rumor is the 767 will go out to bid pto people who have been in with the company a year. So the last newhire class will be SOL. Then the rest will be hired off the street. No word on the sale.

747, 757, 767's?????????

Now what would a world-class management team at Pace Airlines want with these old dinosaurs?

These guys are at the cutting edge of global business! The only airplane that is right for them is the SSBJ that doesn't even exist yet! They have LOI's signed for 50 of them!

Nothing like taking an airline from 22 aircraft with healthy contracts, grand potential, tons of experienced people and running it into the ground with 737-2/3/4 as well as 757's!

Can anyone imagine what they can do with SSBJ's?

The best thing they can do for the name is to just call it a day respectfully with everyone at home.....I just hope that those that are left don't find out about a shutdown while on a layover somewhere with no hopes of how to get back home.

What a sad joke upper management there is.....pathetic.

Wow, B737Dvr, a little bitter?

Yes, this place isn't what it used to be, but it wasn't Pace management that brought it down, it was the people in charge of Hooters. Since Hooters has shut down, this place has struggled to turn itself around and remain afloat.

Yeah we all wish we could be flying newer equipment, getting better pay and more respect from management, but at least Pace is growing again and there is finally some room for advancement again. Shut this place down? Hell no! It's how I make a living. Pace has a lot of potential - what with ETOPS, DOD, and almost world wide approval. I'm hoping that a new buyer will infuse some cash into this operation to make it a descent place to hang your hat for a while.

I am not bitter, just very disapointed in hooters as well as pace management for turning a lot of potential into needing a cash infusion for survival and relevance.

Hoping for a new buyer? Please tell me that you aren't still waiting for that "announcement on Monday". Are you aware of the economy? Cash infusion would be a tall order during an economic boom for a place with no real viable business plan, model or direction other than bottom feeding. A cash infusion during this economy for the above mentioned company would resemble a roll of the dice on "red" at one of the dirt bag casino gambling junkets that Pace seems to specialize in.

I hate to write all this, since I had a great time at Pace with alot of great people. However, what I hate more is that Pace management seems to have not changed its treatment of people while running the company into a dismal holding pattern waiting for angel investments that will never come.

The people on the line is what will make a difference in a company, as long as management treats the line troops like they are expendable, they will never get it.

Best of luck finding something asap for those of you still there, please don't continue to standby for that "announcement on Monday".

i'd have to say it was the late mr brooks fear over getting bigger. we could have been and were set up base wise to be as big allegiant is today... they could have easily moved into SFB
