MW244, Disney had it clear a year ago that it didn't want this under any of it's label to Moore and the CEO of Miriamax. But the head of Miramax still went ahead and funded it, hoping that they would come around. They didn't tough luck being Moore, now he has to find a distributor that is willing to pay Miramax the $6 million production bill.

Pilot124,

Thanks, it was passed along to me by others.

Sounds a lot like the playbook that the Bush team is using.

That's exactly right.....what Hermann Goering is describing is called "leadership." Can you imagine if we lived in a pure, instantaneous democracy where decisions were made on polls alone? This would be a world of hurt, dictacted by every emotional response that the public had...whether it be over a photo, statement, or event.....or whatever a special interest group could portray as a "problem."

This is why we have a representative democracy and need a president willing to provide leadership and direction. Not someone who will bend to every cause that happens "to have it's day" on the evening news and "punt" foreign policy decisions by subordinating our military to the whatever socialist, fascist, communist or despot country that happens to find itself with a seat on the UN security council.

President Bush puts America first. John Kerry has demonstrated that he thinks that our interests should fall into what the rest of the world wants for us. Quite frankly, I don't think you'll like what the rest of the world would like to see happen to America.....they think of us as a "pocket to pick."....never mind that we earned what we have under a great capitolist society.....that doesn't matter to them.....they just want what we have, and they don't wanna work to get it.

But, if you think that's the way it should be.....make sure to vote for the "hipster dufus" in November.

Supposedly the movie exposes his family's numerous business dealings with Saudi royalty as well as Osama Bin Laden's family! These are the same people who represent the extreme form of Islam known as Wahhabi which regards the Us and Israel as mortal enemies.

You are treating Michael Moore like he is a journalist. Michael Moore is an entertainer with a leftist agenda that has a history of out and out lying in his so-called "documentaries". Disney has probably done some fact checking and come to the conclusion that they don't want to be associated with the low-life. I am sure when they bought the rights, they saw dollar signs, not that they believed in his Quixotic tilting at windmills.

Is it REALLY possible that tthe media is slanted towards making money, not a political agenda.

Sex, death, danger and destruction will sell. I bet if his movie had live beheddings in Saudia Aribia it would be in theaters

"That's exactly right.....what Hermann Goering is describing is called 'leadership.'"

That would be funny if it wasn't so sad and scary. Did you go to school? I think you should re-read that quote. It does not represent leadership, it's called manipulation and propoganda. Also you might want to do yourself a favor and look up this Goering guy, you might have heard of one of his good buddies Hitler. Sadly you have proved his point.

On another note I don't think you are doing Bush any favors on this board. I'm sure the Kerry team would pay you good money to be a spokesmen for the Bush campaign.

Yeah, (tail between legs) I was kinda hoping this wouldn't come up again..I wish I would've read that a little closer before my emotions pointed my mouse toward the "reply" button.

But, I thought that editing or removing it would be chicken$hit.

Lets examine the part of your post that I didn't read closely enough:

Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same way in any country."

Now tell me, in this situation, who are the peacemakers? The Democrat party? No....most of them voted for war with Iraq, including their man, John Kerry.

My point is, the Democrats aren't trying to be peacemakers....they're trying to do whatever it takes to get "their" White House back, because they HATE President Bush. They can't make a rational argument as to WHY this is, but they "just do." (evidence that the "attack-a-day" that has come from the democrats for the last 2 years had worked on some people)

Every piece of evidence, whether it be statements, votes, or even current actions demonstrates that the Democrat leadership in this country are partisan political aminals, not "peacemakers."

Even if they tried to be "peacemakers," they wouldn't have the foggiest idea how.

And one more thing...I'm not trying to do President Bush any favors.....I'm just trying to make sure that people who are voting "against Bush" understand the implications of voting for John Kerry and anyone else with a (D) by their name....before they do so.

for cryin out loud how about we decide an election for the issues at hand not based on the service records or lack there of of both the candidates. Kerry got his purple heart and theres not a darn thing anyone can do about it. Bush may or may not have had a shady service record depending on who you talk to, not a darn thing anyone can do about it! Lets stop talking about what happened 30 years ago and start talking about what needs to be done here in 2004.... sheesh

Why did so many dems vote for the war? Because the President presented evidence that Saddam had weapons of mass destruction and that he posed an "iminent threat to the Us." Surprise that was all a bunch of BS and the president knew it was BS when he used it in his State of the Union. Now re-read that quote. They manufatured a threat to our security (WMD in the hands of a madman) and they implied that anybody who was against them was unpatriotic by saying "you are either with us or with the terrorists." Now that we are stuck in this quagmire they say we really went in to liberate the Iraqis. I support our troops but I think the Bush administration duped them into risking their lives over BS reasons.

As the world goes to h#ll in a handbascket I'll try to remember that the democrats are the responsible party. I would much rather have a president who indulged in the occasional bj but brought terrific prosperity than one who appears to be completely incompetent and has alienated us from the rest of the world. You wonder why so many Dems hate Bush, I wonder why so many Republicans love him considering what he has done and said during the past four years. I could see how someone could admire Reagan or Bush sr., but W?
