Yes on time and a half for days off, no telling how long it will last. No street captains-bid for it like anywhere else.

Ah, only 1.5 for days off...Not for every day?

No street captains?
Roger on that.

Focus and Tradewinds hires street captains, rumor says Connie as well.

Well - I doubt the union or the membership would appreciate that - I'm here and have heard nothing of the kind. A Captain upgrade class of ten is in progress right now, with another scheduled in June. There are two FEs upgrading to FO right now too.

Our FOs are talented and easily capable of upgrade, when the time comes (assuming they have 5000 hours required). I can't see where hiring street Captains would benefit the company. We have a very nice sim and training facility at Willow Run so if someone requires more time in the sim, it really doesn't cost any extra.

Hey FreightGod, Focus and Tradewinds are both Furloughing, Sorry that Connie doesnt cater to pilots with false sense of entitlement issues. You have to wait in line with all the lesser people if you were to be hired here! Good luck with that trying to be better then everyone else though! Hope it works for you.

Huh?
Ya been smoking crack boy?

I asked a straight forward question, the answer would be yes or no. Assume all ya want, but ya are barking up the wrong tree.

FreightGod, seems to me that Junkflyer answered your question correctly! You then continued on the subject by saying "rumor says Connie as well".I guess you were just to stupid to understand Junkflyers well written response. I feel that My post really helped you understand how we dont hire scum off the street captains! I hope this is helpful to you!

I do appreciate Junkflyer's well written response.

Don't worry about me being after yer job kid, I got my seat over at brand X and are all set for the forseeable future..

My F/O these days are ex-Connie and he said that you guys hire L/S off the street and that ya get 1.5 for all the flying.

My questions was rather to confirm this rumor, as it sounded a bit strange.

You jumped to the conclusion that I "tried to be better than anybody else".

Wrong on all counts tiger, and uh, chill.

Hey FreightGod, Focus and Tradewinds are both Furloughing,

Well, Tradewinds are recruitting all they can get right now, all seats, wrong again.

Sorry that Connie doesnt cater to pilots with false sense of entitlement issues.

Again, chill dude, nobody is after yer seat...Can ya spell paranoid?

Our FOs are talented and easily capable of upgrade, when the time comes (assuming they have 5000 hours required).

So if you get hired with 1500TT and are there a couple years you still have to wait to get 5000TT till they upgrade you?

How is the health insurance for the family?

Do you ever fly over 61 hours per bid?

How much open time is there? Is the p91 flight from LAX to Korea flight going senior?

How many hours do you fly a year?

If your goal is UPS, would you go to jeyBlue or Kalitta?

Does the new TA require the company to pay for your hotel during training?

Thanks

"Do you really think your ready to be a 747 captain with 2000 hours TT ?"

"Yes. The military will let you be a C-5 AC with 1000."

Ahem - welcome to commercial aviation, where there's nobody holding your hand. Lots of ex-mil guys have commented on the polar opposite attitudes between the different cultures. Nobody's gonna tell you - don't go, we don't know if the aircraft's fixed right", or "No, the weather's kinda iffy, let's scrub the mission." The company will try to send you out with an iffy aircraft and try not to tell you what the weather really is.

"My dog would attack me" - Boeingballer

That's funny!

How about training in MIA at Aeroservice? do they use them anymore?

Would any of you at Kalitta leave jetblue for Kalitta?

Guam

Thanks

Welcome to "commercial aviation" where everybody eats their own and it's..."my airline is better then your airline"....bla bla bla!

No, Kalitta does not use Aerosrvices anymore. They built their own training facility in YIP and bought their own 747 SIM.

Leave JetBlue.....only if you are stupid!

well...I almost didn't make it out of High Skool.

been flying up and down the East Coast most of my career. money isn't everything?

17 days away and screwing around over seas sounds good, plus the 14 days off is lots of time to surf one location especially when it is going off!

6 to 7 days off only sucks when the surf is good and you met a hot chick from the Canary Islands and she wants to hang out with you for another week....

cheers!
