When we do cancel a flight and if it was B6's fault (i.e. no crew) the PBoR says JB will pay each passenger $1000 in cash.

The $1000 is only if the person is involentarilly bumped off an operating flight because of an overbooking. If the flight is cancelled withen 12 hours, they get a refund.

CANCELLATIONS

All customers whose flight is canceled by JetBlue will, at the customer’s option, receive a full refund or reaccommodation on a future JetBlue flight at no additional charge or fare. If JetBlue cancels a flight within 12 hours of scheduled departure and the cancellation is due to a Controllable Irregularity, JetBlue will also provide the customer with a Voucher valid for future travel on JetBlue in the amount paid by the customer for the roundtrip (or the oneway trip, doubled).

OVERBOOKINGS (As defined in JetBlue’s Contract of Carriage)

Customers who are involuntarily denied boarding shall receive $1,000.

That is good for weather ystems moving though, but not to cover a late sick call and no reserve coverage.

Prick, you still didn't backup your assertions with facts and data. By the way call your mother shes worried about you!!!

"Prick" and "ass" you seem to like the idea of both. I'm thinking your momma is on high doses of Homocyll.

Wrong. The $1000 is for someone bumped off of an overbooked flight that did not want to volunteer for compensation. Since we don't overbook on purpose, this will rarely ever happen. The refund is for flights cancelled within 12 hours of departure that were under our control like for lack of crew or mx. If a weather system causes cancellations and we cancel the flight prior to 12 hours, we don't have to refund because it is out of our control. That is why you will see any pre-cancels happen the day before. You should actually read the PBOR. So if we cancel a flight due to lack of crews within 12 hours of departure, it will cost us the amount of ticket sales for that flight which is nowhere near $156,000. More like $15,000 depending on the flight.

15,000 dollars. Ha.

All of the JB A320's have been converted to 150 seats and 3 FA's.

The E190's have been temporarily converted to E145's...;)

Reducing the ASM/aircraft would increasing the RASMs, so that could explain some of the change

Reducing the ASM/aircraft would increasing the RASMs, so that could explain some of the change in RASM, but not all of it. Likewise, it would also increase the CASM since the aircraft essentially still costs the same amount to operate, but has fewer ASMs to spread out the costs.
