Just received an email from a buddy that says the jetblue chief pilots office has new and used uniform pieces for sale. How pathetic. I guess a ton of people are leaving for greener pastures.
No what's weird is that when I quit they wanted all of the stuff returned. Dirty pants, blazer, tie, etc.

Actually, the Chief Pilot's office is selling their pilots.
It seems a lot of busy people in the burroughs are looking for experienced housekeepers.
I think it's nice that JBLU can give their pilots a side job while not flying and making those industry leading E190 salaries.
Ramen Noodles anyone?
Why in the hell would a company provide you with a laptop?

You should also have added "first class cabin cleaners"...Commercial airline pilots, First class pilots, second class pay.
I've had uniforms provided by two other employers at no cost. One was the famously anti labor Atlas Air. Only Jetblue asks for the uniforms to be returned. It is a unique policy and another Jetblueism.

Then again why does it really matter?

I thought it was a little crass of the CP's Office to send out the email soliciting for the purchase of used uniform items though. Maybe DN can use the discounted uniform items (in addition to the use of seniority and its intrinsic bidding advantages) in his argument of how to offset the cost of inflation and why we are paid so well.

Just saw one of Needleman's suits at Goodwill today! Anything to stay in the black huh?
I have worked for 3 other companies. All wanted uniforms, id's, and all other associated items returned...

Commuters don't count sport. This is a Majors Board.

Anybody find used underwear? Mine are worn out.
I never recieved an email talking about buying uniforms from the CP's office. I did see something about it over at BP but thats it. Maybe it was just sent to the jfk folks.....hmmmm.
