Just received an email from a buddy that says the jetblue chief pilots office has new and used uniform pieces for sale. How pathetic. I guess a ton of people are leaving for greener pastures.

So?

Most places you'd just throw that stuff away.

Instead of making it garbage.. you ask if anyone is interested in it.

Yea.. its a little unusual...
But don't make it out to be more than it is.

New saying

Commercial airline pilots, First class pilots, second class pay. Cargo all the way. New hire two weeks behind me at SWA left after 3 months at Jet Blue. chief pilot told him he had lost 17 guys previous month Jan.

Actually I was in there today and got 2 brand new pairs of pants for $20!! That is great considering that I was going to use my yearly uniform credit for 2 pants at $85 a piece...

I asked what the deal was and she told me that some of the stuff was either stuff that was in the lost and found forever or uniform items that were ordered and never picked up by the crewmembers.

I am sure there may have been a few pieces that were turned in when someone left so you glory hole seekers can put a negative spin on things.

Actually, the Chief Pilot's office is selling their pilots.

It seems a lot of busy people in the burroughs are looking for experienced housekeepers.

I think it's nice that JBLU can give their pilots a side job while not flying and making those industry leading E190 salaries.

Ramen Noodles anyone?

No what's weird is that when I quit they wanted all of the stuff returned. Dirty pants, blazer, tie, etc.

No, what's weird is that when you were hired you didn't notice the agreement you signed to do just that. But then I don't read anything I sign either, LOL.

From a "buddy" -- ha. Yeah riiiight.

I am in no way a fan of all things blue, but let's get some perspective here: THEY PAY FOR THE UNIFORMS. And to top it off they give you 200 bux a year EACH YEAR to maintain them. I would say they own the uniforms. The laptop. Hell even the rollaboard they bought me (when they used to do that). Whether it's in bad condition or merely used condition it's THEIRS. And you signed a statement (or your buddy did) that promised to return all of it upon resignation or termination.

How many airlines buy your uniforms, give you a laptop (that you use for personal email, pictures, games -- you oldtimers with admin rights, tracking investments, studying for second degrees, porn, more porn, movies, porno movies) -- hell even offer you 200 bux a year to maintain those uniforms? Seriously. How many?
