Jetblue Question. QOL A320 vs E190

what about commuting to JFK or FLL out of TPA? any word? Louie, see you in class!
 
Definitely go with the Bus if available, better trips and different variety. I personally am 2+ now Bus FO, and will stay here unless they adjust the riduculous 190 pay. Welcome aboard, get in line for the commute out of Clt with the rest of us.
 
Thanks guy's all very valuable info. Johnsonrod, as for your question's. All of the above you mentioned is the problem. I have 2 kids and it doesn't help being on the road 18 days at a time. After you have been here about 1.5 to 2 years you can grab nice 4 days like these 2 examples below.. You may get them sooner starting out pick the bus the upgrades have extended on the 190 and the comfort of the bus on a 5 hour transcon is only surpassed by a 767 or md 11.. The pull out laptop/meal tray holds 130lbs so you can put your meal on there and eat away. Hope this helps and welcome aboard. As for my take on it..

ZKMayo and I were hired around the same time. I agree with all he said. The 190 is a much more enjoyable plane to fly from the pilot perspective, but as for comfort and making easy money, the 320 is it. 5 day trips with 4-6 legs for the entire trip, and 28 hour trips is much better than some of our 190 trips were were get that many landings by the second day. On the other hand, the 190 has some great trips with good overnights in AUS. I am there for 22 hours later this month and I am sure you will find me down at the library or wandering around 6th street somewhere. As for me, I am going back to the bus once I can hold 320CA in BOS. Since I live there now, there is no sense transitioning to the 320 and commuting for reserve when my qol is good now.
 
How about if you are going to commute from the west coast as a newhire??? Which aircraft would offer a better qol? And how is the commute from Los Angeles? Thanks for the help.
 
I would pick the 320. There are plenty of LGB overnights.
 
I definitely will If given the choice when I hear back from phase 2! How is it getting to work though?? Thanks for the info!
