I have heard the following..

10$ raise to 320 Crews..

That would put yr 1 320 Fo at $61

190 Rates will be 85% of 320 rates. or about $50 yr one FO and just about $100 yr 1 Capt 190..

This is speculation from flying with a top seniority guy on probably 5 different committes..

JB has had 1 bad qtr and one near break even. That is countered by nearly 6 years of profit.. Jb in a short 6 months has been able to account for nearly $200 million per year in excess fat and is well on its way to meeting that goal.

JB understands that the pilots while loyal are in the daily grind.. If you dont work here you just wouldnt understand the culture..

Not the perfect job but a great place regardless..

Those pay rates would definitely make it a much better place!! I know that JetBlue is trying to cut down on pilot attrition and this is a step in the right direction. I got a sense of the JetBlue culture at the interview and I liked what I saw.

I am curious what is the shortest amount of time it has taken someone to get through phase 2 at JetBlue- I know there are alot of people that it has taken well over two months but I also know that it has taken much less than that as well. It seems to me that they (JetBlue) are trying to speed up the process compared to previous interviews?

Form those who I have spoken to the word is that there are so many people in the pool who are waiting for the 320 that effectively everyone who just interviewed will only be offered the 190.

If this turns out to be the case then the entire recruitment staff just wasted their time and the time of all the applicants who interviewed in November.

So, what would the estimate be for 1st year pay on the E190 with these new rates? How popular is the BOS base for the E190? Lastly, how many sectors would be likely on the E190 per day on average - 4-6 sectors?

This is hearsay thats it.. Until the rates are official this is pure speculation on my part.. I will guess you will see FO pay at JB increased before Captain Pay..

If you flew the Average which is 83 hrs per month here is the math

51 per hr x 70 = $3570
13 hrs at premium of $76.50 = 995

4565 per month or about $55,000

If you flew max schedule or 95 hrs per month

your premium would be about $1900 or $5500 per month

$65,800 per year..

No problem if you really want the bus, but to assume almost everyone in the recent interview group is 320 or bust is incorrect. I know 3 of the interviewees from that group, and 1 wants the 190, and the other 2 would prefer the 320 but will pass up a maximum of one class to get a bus class but if more than that, both will grab the first 190 class and not look back.

Even if there are no 320 classes for a few months maximum for that interview group (see caveman's post) you'll still get the 320 if you're willing to wait and pass up classes. I wouldn't wait too long and lose hundreds of numbers over first year pay, but you do what you want. Good luck and welcome aboard if you get hired and choose to come aboard.

First year pay is certainlly something to consider. If someone gets hired here and ends up staying for a while, its also something to consider for the last 15, 20, 25, 30...years of your time here the long term effect of the 100 or 200 (+?) seniority numbers you willingly gave up early on to get one plane versus the other for the first 2 years. It also works both ways. Take the 320 and you can't go to the 190 for 2 years, including upgrade. Its your call though. Good luck with your decision. Either way its certainlly not perfect here, but overall a very good culture and a good place to work.

Sectors? Yeah, I guess 4-6 is about right. Not including go-arounds, which may add another circut or two to you average daily sectors.

The first year bus pay in his example is our current rate. The 190 CA rate was based on some rumors going around, nothing more. It may end up being that, it may end up a lot less, or more. No one knows yet. Stay tuned.

According to VK around 50 have left this year. About 20 of those left to go to SWA, a few to CAL, and the rest were recalls. Most of them were FO's and I would assume that pay and retirement were the big reasons why they left.

Hey Charlie Brown! I hope all went well. Usually you will see around 70-80% get through. Sometimes a bit more, sometimes a bit less but that seems to be the answer. As for phase II, mid 90's percentage. I hope this helps. Give me a ring when you get the good news.
