Take your shots at JetBlue while you can. Profit sharing will be back soon enough. In the mean time consider we brought in $1.7 billion in revenue, my paycheck never bounced, and my pension is intact (401k).

Sad that you consider a 401k a pension!

I wouldn't have put up with it. Kick his arrogant a$$ off. If you see him again, give him a good kick in the shins for all the rest of us who are ashamed of this kind of thing. Then make him take the next flight. Thanks.

That's a good point. His tone was friendly, and he seemed a bit clueless. Sorta like somebody saying, "You're lucky you're in that wheelchair! You get to sit down all day!"

KnowwhutImean?

My F/O called me a wimp for not tossing him.

I didn't.
I am.

1600! Time to start drinking!

I don't disagree with you on that. I wish I had a true pension plan and envy those that still do. But in light of the recent developments in the US with pensions, I'm grateful to have a 401k that is untouchable by the company or courts.

Anyway, I think now that FLYI is out of the picture, JBLU's yields (especially east coast) should show a marked improvement. FLYI's fares were ludicrously low.

Well, realistically so was DAL Songs, after all, they were willingly tossing money into the hole, while competing. From investor conference calls, one could learn, that jetblue maintained a premium above Song. Rumour has it, that the Song experiment so far has run 250M in red.

Funny to note, that once the man on the ground gets up, he immediately starts kicking someone else. I guess the 5% is to be found here as well!

Let me know when I can get up. I'm still kicking while on the ground. :D

Dude, this is where ALL of us 5%ers hang out. :)

The nice thing about anonymous message boards is that you can speak your mind. The bad thing about anonymous message boards is that most of us speak our minds. ;)

BTW, good point about SONG; I forgot about that. I'm still trying to figure out why it failed ... perhaps poor branding?

Um...Ok. How about Minneapolis? Does SWA fly to MSP?

Our next new city! You heard it here on flightinfo.com from the SWA/FO. Mark my words....done deal. Next!

EYW = no way.

Future Legacy Carrier

Maybe JetBlue should get a clue and start charging more for tickets. If not maybe they should cut employee costs and eliminate the pension plan. Oh that is right JetBlue does not have a pension plan. At least the pilots do not have to worry about that. Those pension plans can be a real pain. At least you have all that valuable stock. Welcome to the race to the bottom JetBlue.
