FLASH - JB292 Emergency Landing!!

On Fox News and MSNBC right now live!!!!!!!

CNN reported the wheels are turned way too far to the Right. FOX reported they are turned way too far to the Left.

A guy made an interesting point. MSNBC is a channel aired on transcon JB flights. Now, imagine you're a passenger listening to these talking head pontificate over the fate of the aircraft on those on board. Talk about BLSD (Before Landing Stress Disorder)!

Shepard Smith (Fox news) speculated that this was the case, and later implied that this was confirmed. I can't hardly believe that a plane the size of an airbus can't dump fuel.

Believe it. It's not that big of a deal if handled correctly. If need be, an emergency "overweight" landing can take place.

Many commercial airline aircraft cannot dump fuel. The A320 family is one of them.

Jet Blue plane attempts to make emergency landing
LONG BEACH, Calif. (AP) — A Jet Blue airliner unsuccessfully attempted to make an emergency landing Wednesday after its front wheels were turned sideways and unable to retract into the plane after takeoff from a nearby airport.
The plane left Burbank Airport sometime after 3 p.m. for New York's JFK airport, according to Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Donn Walker.

Jet Blue flight 292 was circling the Long Beach Airport, about 30 miles south of Burbank, as airport officials tried to determine what the best solution was. Walker said the Airbus A320 was dumping fuel over the Pacific.

No other details were immediately available and Forest Hills, N.Y.-based Jet Blue could not be reached for comment.

This has happened before, landed in JFK. Less than 10' off the centerline and two wrecked tires. Not even an evacuation.

Lets hope for the same tonight!

That's hillarious.
