Hey guys,

Its true, no news is good news. Hopefully, youll hear very soon.

Jetblue has a class starting every 2 weeks on wednesdays. The next class is the 6th of the year that starts 03-17 but i think all the vacancies for that one have been filled. So you guys who are still waiting will prob go 03/31 or 2 weeks after that. Each class has about 12 in it. You are paired up FO/FO in training.

You guys will prob be among the last JB pilots to be trained in Miami. The new training center on Orlando is ahead of schedule and is to be opened in June with the last sim being conducted in MIA the first week of June. The sims there will be all new, with i think 4 320s and 2 190 sims with room for lots more expansion. 2000 sq ft pool for ditching exes, and also building their own hotel to house everyone in training.

The first training for line pilots for the EMB190 will be the first week of August.

Jetblue will be giving new hires the option of going to the 320 or the 190. Its yet another example of how JB lets their crewmembers make the decisions which affect their future. The 320 pays more intially, but the upgrade is about 2-2.5 years away. The 190 pays less, but the opportunity to upgrade will happen sooner, co goal is 6 to 10 mos., allowing one to make more salary sooner.

Hope this helps. To those who havent heard yet, dont read anything into it. sometimes its hard to get the review committee together and sometimes some former employers are slow in getting PRIA back. Good luck to all.

Hi,

You seem pretty informed. I wonder what it would take for the PHC to vote down a candidate. Would the people dept call that person if they saw anything that the PHC might be concerned about?

I really feel for you guys. Been there, done that and 8 of the longest weeks of my life later got the call. If anyone needs to talk send me a PM.

Ditto for me....My availability wasn't until 1 July, but I emailed Bernice yesterday about moving it up now and she said that it helped and I should hear about my Phase 2 status soon...I thought my late availability was the cause, but others I interviewed with are available now and they weren't called yet either.....Fingers crossed.....

Just talked to a buddy of mine who was emailed this morning about 10:00 offering him a job. It surprised him to get the email. He was waiting for the "call". He got a March 30 class.

No other info at the moment.

Theres a two year seat lock (fence) thatll be put up that goes into effect after you are done with IOE as a Captain. That goes for either airplane, but not FO to CA in type. IOW, you can go 190 FO to 190 CA but then youre a 190 CA for 2 years. Everyone currently on property will be fenced to their type but not necessarily their seat. 320 FOs can go to 190 ca with one right of refusal if they change their minds. Once trained on the 190 you cant go back to the 320 as CA for 2 years. The bid is supposed to happen sometime in April or May. So you guys will be able to bid on it too. Make no sense? Good. JK

Dogwood: I would def say they would call you if the board had a question. Mgmt wants to make sure they have the full picture and all the facts before they make a decision about someone's future. They def want to see you succeed.

PM me if you got any questions. Good luck, your going to have fun when you get here.

Got the same Email, and MIA on March 30th.....................

To bid Captain in the E190 you need to have 300 hours as an 121 FO in any equipment. So depending on your background if you're hired in the near future you may have to sit in the right seat of the E190 before being able to upgrade. Additionally, the system bid for the E190 is planned for May and it is designed to identify 100-120 current A320 FO's who desire to transition to the new aircraft. The first line captain training is scheduled for mid-Aug and then every two weeks after that. The first new hire E190 FO's will start in the third initial class, paired up with an existing JetBlue pilot upgrading to Captain.

Regardless of your selection, all new hires starting after late Aug will incur the same seat lock once training is completed.

I wonder if JB pilot recruitment works on weekends. Probably not.

Oh well, maybe next week.

When I was hired, I was called on sunday afternoon. So, I do believe they work on the weekend.
